2016 League Of Legends Worlds Update – Tickets, Dates, Venues, And More

Pack your bags! The 2016 League of Legends World Championship is right around the corner and includes a road trip across the United States.

Starting this week, tickets are on sale for the finals of the 2016 World Championship.

2016 LoL Worlds Finals tickets now on sale

The entire tournament will span the course of a month, with four venues hosting events. We’re here to get you caught up on each stage of the tournament and where to get your tickets.

Teams

Teams will be determined based on each region’s finish in their respective Summer Split Finals. Teams with the most accrued points from each region over the course of the Spring/Summer Split will also be invited.

The official teams will be announced during the group draw (as well as what groups each team will be placed in). The group draw will take place live on Saturday, Sept. 10 in Los Angeles.

Tickets

We’ve provided links to purchasing tickets for each stage of the 2016 League of Legends World Championship. If you don’t see any tickets available for the date/event you wish to attend, don’t fret!

Riot has stated it will release a limited quantity of tickets in early September based on its final production setup.

Riftwalk returns

As seen at PAX East and soon-to-be-seen at the NA Summer Finals in Toronto, the Riftwalk is an immersive, interactive journey through League’s history, showcasing memorable moments from the last six years, beloved community contributors, and the community that’s made it all possible.

Group Stage – San Francisco

Venue

Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Located at 99 Grove St., San Francisco, CA 94102.

Seating capacity

The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium can seat a maximum audience of 7,000.

Dates and ticket information

  • Week 1 Sept. 29-Oct. 2, 4 p.m.
  • Week 2 Oct. 6-7, 4 p.m.
  • Week 2 – Oct. 8-9, 1 p.m.

Tickets start at $26 USD.

Stakes

Teams will compete within four groups, with four teams in each group. The top two teams after group stage from each group will move on to the quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals – Chicago

Venue

The Chicago Theatre. Located at 175 N State St, Chicago, IL 60601

Seating capacity

The Chicago Theatre can seat a maximum audience of 3,600.

Dates and ticket information

Quarterfinals will take place between the dates of Oct. 13 through Oct. 16.

Tickets are $54.50 ($43.50 base price + $11 service fees) for the orchestra/loge and $36.50 ($28.50 base price + $8 service fees) for the balcony, plus applicable fees.

Stakes

The winner here will advance to the final four, securing their spot in the semifinals.

Semifinals – New York

Venue

Madison Square Garden. Located at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY 10001

Seating capacity

Madison Square Garden can seat a maximum audience of 20,000.

Dates and ticket information

The semifinals will take place on Oct. 21 and 22.

Tickets are $75 ($61 base price + $14 service fees) for the lower bowl and $57 ($46 base price + $11 service fees) for the upper bowl.

Stakes

The winner here moves on to the finals. First place will take on fourth place, with second and third place battling it out as well.

Finals – Los Angeles

Venue

Staples Center. Located at 1111 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015

Seating capacity

The Staples Center can seat a maximum audience of 19,000.

Dates and ticket information

The finals will take place on Oct. 29.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. PST. To allow all players the opportunity to purchase tickets, they will be made available first via:

Base price for tickets are $55 for the lower bowl (P1), $52 for the middle bowl (P2), and $35 for the upper bowl (P3). Below is an outline of ticket prices:

  • Online: $70 (P1), $65 (P2), $46.50 (P3), plus applicable fees
  • Phone: $71 (P1), $66 (P2), $47.50 (P3), plus applicable fees
  • In-person: $55 (P1), $52 (P2), $35 (P3), plus applicable fees

Stakes

This is the grandaddy of them all. The 2016 League of Legends World Champions will be crowned here.
