The international roster has come to life during this event, not losing a single map on their way to the final and beating teams such as MOUZ, ENCE, and their Grand Final opponents FURIA.
A lot of Apeks’ success at Elisa Masters Espoo has to be attributed to Tim “nawwk” Jonasson, whose exceptional form allowed the rest of the team to claim victories against more tenured opposition. The Swedish AWPer is the overwhelming favourite to take home the MVP medal, as his tremendous performances equated to a very high 1.37 average rating.
Apeks have struggled to live up to the expectations they set themselves by reaching the BLAST Paris Major semi-final earlier this year. However, lifting the trophy at an international LAN like the Elisa Masters Espoo could be what they need to motivate them to make that next step.
FURIA
Since forming their current roster back in the summer break, FURIA’s performances have been rather underwhelming. The Brazilians have failed to make deep runs at any Tier-one events and they struggled against higher-level opposition.
To combat this lack of form, they’ve decided to revert the in-game leading duties to Andrei “arT” Piovezan, who was FURIA’s IGL before Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo’s arrival to the team. The change seems to be working so far, with FURIA reaching their first international LAN Grand Final, since DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020 where they lost to GEN.G.
Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato has been the main man for FURIA this event, averaging a solid 1.21 rating in the seven maps played. The talented rifler recently declined an opportunity to move to Liquid, in favour of continuing his Counter-Strike journey with his countrymen.

The CS2 odds have Apeks as favourites to win the title, which is understandable because they dismantled FURIA in their group-stage encounter earlier in the tournament. With nawwk being in incredible form, FalleN will have to step up for his team to have a chance of victory in the Elisa Masters Espoo Grand Final.
