Astralis Partners With Fitness Drink Company NOCCO
Danish esports organization Astralis has announced a partnership with Swedish fitness beverage company NOCCO. The cooperation puts Astralis on NOCCO’s ambassador list next to Sweden’s national ice hockey team, NFL pro Andreas Knappe, and Olympic swimmers Michelle Coleman and Pernille Blume.
Major deal following major performance
The deal, supposedly worth six figures a year according to The Esports Observer, follows the team’s dominating performance at the recent ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018. Kasper Hvidt of RFRSH, the esports media production company representing Astralis, explained the new partnership.
“You always want to perform better by staying fit and living a healthy life, and for us, it makes complete sense to work with a company like NOCCO,” Hvidt said. “We strive to improve in every aspect of what we do, and we strongly believe that this partnership and everything included will help us to achieve more.”
No Carbs Company, the developer of NOCCO, launched its first product in December 2014. Today, the company’s self-dubbed “tasty functional beverage” is available in 31 markets.
“NOCCO is a fitness brand and has so far been focused on the physical side of sports,” said NOCCO Brand Manager Emil Dreyer. “We are all about performance, though, and after being introduced to Astralis and the RFRSH organization, we have no hesitation to enter the world of esports.”
“The way RFRSH works on a strategic level and day to day to facilitate the best possible conditions for the players is on par with the best sports organizations out there, and what Astralis has achieved through dedication, skills, preparation and a willingness to go different ways is unique,” Dreyer added.
According to the announcement, NOCCO is out to compete with other big-name fitness drinks in the esports market.
Astralis capitalizing on the expanding esports industry
The NOCCO partnership follows other deals between Astralis and major companies. These include Audi, Jack $ Jones, PanzerGlass, Turtle Beach, and esports.com, among others.
As the industry of competitive gaming continues to expand, more endemic and non-endemic companies are looking to pair up with successful teams. Astralis keeps taking excellent advantage of its strong position by forging new partnerships with a wide variety of companies.
