Bet365 Esports To Be Optimized Thanks to SIS Agreement

Published: May 15, 2020

Customers at bet365 Sport that are regularly using the company’s esports betting service may notice some exciting new changes to their offering very shortly thanks to the recently announced deal between bet365 and Sports Information Services (SIS), the company that supplies end-to-end esports betting solutions to online sportsbooks.

Part of the offer will see SIS esports product rolled out across the bet365 platform. This will include live-streamed events, commentary, betting triggers embedded onto the on-screen presentation and the provision of a wealth of data on betting markets, as well as an extensive range of different betting markets and prices on esports

One of the most exciting developments will be the ability to bet on live head-to-head competitions between gamers, such as games that take place in the SIS Blitz League, which allows punters to enjoy NBA2K betting as well as watching the games unfold.

Part of the appeal for bet365 and its customers will be the fact that all SIS approved matches are played remotely, which maintains the levels of health and safety that are required at the moment, but also that each game is monitored by an ‘integrity referee’, who has been specifically trained for the role by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC).

Who are SIS?

Sports Information Services are a company founded in 1987 and who since that time has partnered with many companies in the sports betting industry. They are one of the top providers of market information, data, and odds to bookmakers.

In recent times, the markets that SIS have worked on have diversified to include other forms of wagering, such as esports betting. Back in February 2019, SIS launched the first product built for sportsbooks that offered 15,000 live betting events per year specifically for esports enthusiasts to enjoy.

After successfully showcasing their product at the ICE London 2020 event, it seems that this has been enough to persuade bet365 Sports, one of the largest sports betting services in the world, to team up with SIS to give their esports service something of a revamp.

Bet365’s current esports offering

It is fair to say that over recent times, bet365 Esports products has improved a great deal. A few years ago, the company only offered betting on the main esports titles and their main events, but since then they have diversified to offer more betting markets on more games covering many more esports tournaments.

Even so, a recent bet365 review of their esports betting services saw bosses feeling that things could be improved. Perhaps they were mindful of the popularity of esports in recent times due to the COVID-19 crisis, and this has led to them thinking that it may well be time for them to move forward by making significant improvements to their esports portfolio.

Speaking about their product, the Product Director at SIS Paul Witten remarked:

“SIS competitive gaming is designed specifically to appeal to existing sports bettors in a format that is familiar, with fast paces action that allows multiple betting opportunities. Quality and integrity has been built into the product from inception.”

The new service is expected to be rolled out across bet365 esports betting service over the coming weeks.
