The upcoming season could prove to be a breakthrough year for many up-and-coming CS:GO players. A lot of players have already profiled themselves as the cream of the crop, but in this article, we want to provide you with a list of potential CS:GO stars who are able to carry games themselves. Without further ado, let’s get straight to it.

Upcoming CSGO Prospects in 2021

Bear in mind that this list is based on our personal opinion. The future will tell whether we were right and how many of these guys will establish themselves as the very best the CS:GO scene has to offer.

1.) Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov

Dmitry has been a relatively unknown player in 2020. However, once Gambit started playing against top teams the scene has to offer, we have seen sh1ro shine. Given the fact that he is only 19 years old, we believe that he has a lot to offer in the coming years.

It is also important to mention that Dmitry already played against the best CSGO players in the world and he knows what he’ll be up against. According to stats, this AWPer averages a 1.19 rating when playing against teams from the top 10.

As of now, sh1ro is representing Gambit, but this may change soon. There is no denying that Virtus.pro is the best CIS team right now and he could be eager to move there. All in all, he has all the tools necessary to go down in history books as one of the best CSGO players.

2.) Michael “Grim” Wince

Unlike Dmitry above, Michael did not show anything so far in Liquid’s jersey. But, the potential is here and it is only a matter of time before Grim starts playing to his full potential. If you are wondering how did Liquid decide to pick him up, here is a short backstory.

Grim went pro in 2017. He changed teams often and wherever he played, he was always topping the scoreboard. Logically, this caught the eye of many esports franchises and Liquid decide to pick up Grim in 2020.

Michael is a capable rifler who is excellent on entry. Sadly, the pressure got the better of him in 2020 and he struggled hard by averaging just above 80 damage per round. To make things even worse, he is rated at 0.94 versus top 5 teams. 2021 is going to be a do-or-die year for this youngster and he must deliver if he wants any form of legacy in his career.

3.) Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov

Born in 2002, Sergey profiled himself amongst his generation of CSGO prospects. If you gather all the stats, you will have a conclusion that Ax1Le is not adding that much to the team. However, this is where you are wrong.

Sergey has an insane IQ and his lurking is simply brilliant. He knows when to lurk and when to stop opponents from rotating. It is also important to mention that he still needs to work on his lurking game against top teams as this is when he struggles the most.

Due to the fact that the Russian rifler is only 18 years old, we believe that with his in-game IQ, positioning, and ability to get multifrags, top CSGO teams will for sure have this guy on his radar.

4.) Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier

Can you imagine if someone brought you in as a substitute player for the #1 CSGO team in the world right now? To make things even better, Kévin was only 16 at the time. It was clear from the get-go that misutaaa was not brought in as a player that will be forced to make an impact right off the bat.

They are giving him time to gather ever so valuable experience and in coming years, they will have a best alongside ZywOo.
