Vitality vs Cloud9 (15:30 CET, Nov. 25)

Vitality

The Bees have lived up to their Group B favourite status, as they dispatched a new-look Heroic in their opening game, before besting Complexity in the Upper final and securing themselves a semi-final spot in the Royal Arena.

Much of that success should be attributed to the team’s star duo Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Lotan “Spinx” Giladi, who were firing on all cylinders and are currently the two highest-rated players in the whole tournament (both averaged a 1.38 rating).

Thanks to his teammates’ strong performances, Vitality’s new recruit, William “mezii” Merriman, did not have to worry about his fragging output, which allowed him to focus solely on settling into the team and familiarizing himself with the squad’s structure.

Cloud9

The Russian-majority roster seem to be doing just fine without a dedicated AWPer, as their five-rifle setup continues to cause opponents a lot of trouble.

So far this tournament, C9 has beaten NAVI in a thrilling grudge match, suffered a narrow loss to FaZe, which they could have easily avoided and ended the international squad’s CS2 win streak in the meantime, and crushed Heroic’s dreams of playing in front of their home crowd in the Royal Arena.

There is no doubt that this Cloud9 roster, spearheaded by Denis “electroNic” Sharipov is capable of beating anyone on their day.

FaZe vs Complexity (18:30 CET, Nov. 25)

FaZe

FaZe continue to impress everyone with their excellent performances as well as the resilience they put on display in their matches.

The Finn “karrigan” Andersen-led roster made quick work of NIP in their first game at BLAST Fall Finals, before claiming the victory in an absolute classic against Cloud9, where they denied their opponents five match points and eventually came out on top, winning 19-15 in double overtime on the third map of the series.

What’s even more impressive and bodes very well for FaZe is the fact that it was a team effort. Besides karrigan, all four members of the roster have averaged between 1.24 and 1.18 ratings so far this tournament.

Complexity

The American-majority roster proved once again that they belong in the big leagues, after beating NAVI in their quarter-final matchup and advancing to the Royal Arena.

Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski has once again been the main man for Complexity this tournament, leading the team with his experience as well as his individual performances.

However, the American will need his teammates to step up on the stage, if they want to have a shot at beating the best CS2 team in the world inside a packed Royal Arena on semi-final Saturday.
