BLAST Unveils its 2025 Season Dates
Esports media production company BLAST has unveiled the tournament dates for its 2025 Counter-Strike 2 season in a new announcement. Revealed on Monday, March 11, Blast outlined a year of competitive events to fill the 2025 calendar.
As per the release, the BLAST CS 2025 tournament dates are as follows:
These dates form part of a newly formed series of events for the company that will seemingly incorporate the BLAST Premier series, and a newly formatted Counter-Strike tournament series in June. BLAST is currently tight-lipped on details, but further information on format, prize pool and locations will be shared during the BLAST Premier Spring Final in London (June 12-16).
Speaking on the revealed calendar, BLAST’s VP of ecosystems for Valve & Riot Games, Andrew Haworth, told viewers what to expect:
“2025 is the start of a new period for Counter-Strike, one that we are really excited about at BLAST. Valve’s changes to an open ecosystem provide opportunities to create new and dynamic additions to our tournaments. Fans can expect an innovative and improved format that will keep the community on the edge of their seats, in the process creating more events, broadcast hours, matches and opportunities for more teams than ever before. We look forward to revealing further details in June.”
The new series will also be beholden to the new restrictions and regulations introduced by Valve for CS tournaments in late 2023. In a blog post on Aug. 3, 2023, Valve outlined a consistent ranking system between all tournaments, full public disclosure of compensation, and a ban on tournament organizers having “unique business relationships or other conflicts of interest with teams that participate in their events.” In the past, BLAST ran the strategic and commercial operations for esports team Astralis.
