Call of Duty League: Who Will Win Major III?

The Call of Duty League Major III Tournament has finally arrived, and it’s going to be the best one yet. We’re several weeks into the competition, and the League standings have revealed more than a few surprises across the three opening stages. At present, Atlanta FaZe sits at the top of the table, but should they pick up an early loss in the Major, that fact could change.
We’d like to say it’s anybody’s game right now, but the Call of Duty betting odds beg to differ. While FaZe are the clear favourites to win the Major, they’re followed close behind by Toronto Ultra, NYSL, and the LA Thieves. At the other end of the spectrum sits Seattle Surge and Paris Legion, with odds to win standing at around 51.00.
But that doesn’t mean you can count them out.
Call of Duty League Major: The Schedule is Live
At present, there are three matches that are yet to take place in the Call of Duty League:
- Florida Mutineers vs. LA Thieves
- Los Angeles Guerrillas vs. Seattle Surge
- Paris Legion vs. London Royal Ravens
And as you can see in the schedule graphic above, all three of those matches will be taking place on opening day. We start with PAR/LDN and LAG/SEA showdowns in the loser’s bracket – very important matches for all involved.
If either team loses their games, they’ll be ejected from the competition, which the Ravens have experienced twice already. However, the Ravens have some of the best odds of that bunch, so they might be preparing to surprise some viewers.
At the top, in the winner’s bracket, we’ll see clashes between FLA/LAT and ATL/DAL. The latter match is huge, with Dallas Empire having a very early opportunity to strike FaZe from the contest. Although, if either one of these four teams loses the fight, they’ll be given another chance to push on in the loser’s bracket.
The Road to $200k
As we move into the Call of Duty League Major III Tournament, there are several teams desperate to win. Of course, that’s the name of the game, but some sides are way more invested than others. Dallas Empire is eager to retain the crown, Toronto Ultra is playing better than ever before, and the New York Subliners pose the biggest underdog threat of the season.
Elsewhere, OpTic Chicago has a massive point to prove, having shown real inconsistency in recent weeks. If the Greenwall could stand firm enough to bring home a Major win, it would bring overwhelming support back to the team. While Atlanta FaZe is the favourite to win, everybody would love to see a lower-table side bring home the big bucks.
The winner of the Call of Duty League Major III Tournament will claim a massive 75 CDL points. That would put Dallas Empire in first place, New York Subliners in second, and (as an example) would move the Royal Ravens up to 7th place from 11th, overnight.
In an ideal world, anyway.
