Cloud9
Despite Cloud9’s short-lived rise in form following the departure of Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov from the team, the Russian-majority team has struggled to keep up such performances, resulting in a below par ending to 2023. The North American organization is keen to continue playing without a dedicated AWPer on their roster, with the decision causing some backlash and negative feedback from numerous members of the Counter-Strike community.
However, C9’s roster is stacked with talented players like Denis “electroNic” Sharipov and Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov who should provide enough firepower to take them over the line in some tougher games.
Heroic
Following Heroic’s implosion in the second half of 2023, only two players have remained on the team for the upcoming season in Rasmus “sjuush” Beck and Rene “TeSeS” Madsen. Despite losing some of the most important pieces of their squad, Heroic managed to reinvest some of their money and put together a promising and relatively competitive roster in a limited amount of time.
Having said that, it’s very difficult to see them reaching the same heights as the previous iteration of this team, which had shown incredible consistency and high level of play for close to three years.
Cloud9 vs Heroic Odds & Prediction
According to the Thunderpick odds, Cloud9 are heavily favoured to fend off Heroic and move one step closer to qualifying for the BLAST Spring Final in London. Seeing that Heroic is basically a brand-new team, the likelihood of them winning this game is not very high.
