Canadian blockchain company ZeU Crypto Networks has revealed a partnership with Africa-focused cryptocurrency Kamari Coin with plans for a blockchain-based online lottery and gaming platform targeted to the African market.

Kamari Coin is a cryptocurrency designed for mobile payments, for the African market but also for a financial world without borders. Kamari hopes to unite African gamers in the first pan-African digital gaming platform. And by using a standard currency, Kamari Coin, integrated with infrastructure and licensing Kamari hopes to offer a more seamless experience to a massive region and a population in the hundreds of millions.

The project will see gaming applications developed for the Kamari ecosystem and integrated with the Kamari mobile wallet where Kamari Coin can be stored. Canada’s ZeU Crypto will build the technology stack. There will also be cross integration with ZeU Crypto’s MulaMarketplace and MulaMail users who will be able to access Kamara’s gaming and lottery platform. ZeU CEO, Frank Dumas, adds:

“We believe that this partnership with Kamari opens up unparalleled opportunities for Mula users. First and foremost is the ability to use Kamari Coin within MulaMicrofinance to lend or send money, which speaks to one of ZeU’s core values of democratizing cryptocurrency. The other is the ability to access Kamari’s ecosystem, which includes entry into the next big online gambling market, Africa.”

The partnership looks set to lever the fast-growing gaming and gambling industries and that of blockchain and cryptocurrency combined with the massive potential in Africa for gaming and gambling.  Africa is a fast-growing mobile market and its video gaming sector, as per CryptoNinjas, grew by 16.8% in 2017 from smartphone adoption. In the next seven years a massive 300 million new subscribers are expected for mobile internet usage.

ZeU is definitely not missing the opportunity of esports betting and is planning to expand its current operations to include blockchain technology specifically for the esports market. Jean-Philippe Beaudet, CTO of ZeU, says:

“By positioning ourselves at the very advent of esports betting, we are capitalizing on its increasing popularity. The core audiences of the esports market and the gambling market converge to create an enthusiastic audience for esports gambling. The anonymized data will allow us to tweak the gambling experience and will create the opportunity for traditional betting establishments to refine their odds.”
