We’ll analyze two series from the SL i-League season 2 Chinese qualifiers on May 25. The two series will be played between Invictus Gaming Vitality and BraveHeart.Zombie, and DUOBAO and Newbee.
Invictus Gaming Vitality vs. BraveHeart.Zombie – 8:00 UTC
The first series of our analysis will be played between Invictus Gaming Vitality and BraveHeart.Zombie.
Despite having performed badly in the last couple of tournaments, Invictus Gaming Vitality are slowly developing themselves for the future Dota 2 tournaments. Their performance in the recent tournaments was very poor, however all of their losses were against professional tier one teams in the DotA 2 competitive scene.
Despite having new team members in the roster, Invictus Gaming Vitality gave their best in every single game of the recent tournaments. Moreover, with the presence of Yang ‘InJuly’ Xiaodong as a leading player, Invictus Gaming Vitality won some of the more impressive series.
For example, the team outclassed Vici Gaming in the Manila Major qualifiers.
On the other hand, BraveHeart.Zombie are a newly-formed team. So far, they’ve played two series, against Newbee Young and FTD Club C, and lost both of them.
The struggle of BraveHeart.Zombie can be understood by the fact that they have just come together as a team and some time will be required by the roster in order to become stable in tournaments.
But other newly-formed teams like Wings Gaming and Fantastic Five are playing well above their expectation level. And one of the most interesting things about those teams is that they try to adapt different kind of drafting line-ups, which makes them unique from the other teams.
Invictus Gaming Vitality might be facing difficulties against professional tier one teams, but when it comes to recently formed teams like BraveHeart.Zombie, then they have the capability to defeat them in the best-of-three series.

DUOBAO vs. Newbee – 12:00 UTC
The second series will be played between DUOBAO and Newbee. Recently, Newbee destroyed every team in the Epicenter: Moscow.
The hot 29-game winning streak was ended by OG, but Newbee instantly took revenge by taking them down in the semi-finals of the upper bracket. Newbee’s playstyle has improved over the couple of years and currently, they can take down any professional tier one Dota 2 team.
On the other hand, DUOBAO have been around in the Dota 2 world for the last year, but even so, they haven’t been able to achieve much in the tournaments. Moreover, the players in DOUBAO’s roster aren’t very much renowned and due to this situation, most of the professional players and analysts do not know about their exact playstyle.
No matter how good DUOBAO plays in the best-of-three series, Newbee will always be ten steps ahead of them in SL i-League Starseries Season 2 Chinese qualifiers.
