In the previous ESL Challenger event, ESL Challenger Katowice 2023, the competition stacked up as follows:
- #1 – Virtus.pro

- #3-4 – 9z Team, FORZE Esports
Evidently, Virtus.pro are a returning favourite for the competition, their previous win influencing the CS2 odds.
More recently, many of the teams attending ESL Challenger DreamHack Winter competed at the Thunderpick World Championship, ranking as follows;
- #2 – Virtus.pro

That explains Monte’s high rating for this event.
Overall, it looks to be a face-off between Virtus.pro and Monte.
