ESL One Kuala Lumpur Format
The ESL One Kuala Lumpur format kicks off with multiple regional qualifiers as listed above. Featuring double elimination bracket, and two open qualifiers, a final closed qualifier in each region grants the seeds to the Main Event.
Once in the Main Event, the format involves two stages of competition.
Firstly, a single round-robin Group Stage:
- Two groups of six teams
- Two game series
- Top 2 advance to Upper Bracket of Playoffs
- 3-4th advance to Lower Bracket of Playoffs
- 5-6th are eliminated
In the Playoffs, a double-elimination bracket with BO3 matches crowns a winner from the 8 remaining teams. concluding with an epic BO5 Grand Final.
Schedule
The schedule for the multiple regional qualifiers is simple – every single region is hosting the respective Closed Qualifier between 16-18th November.
