Format & Schedule

All of the teams competing in the ESL Pro League S18 Playoffs have been seeded from the Group Stage as outlined in our ESL Pro League S18 betting guide. Here’s how seeds worked for each of the Groups:

Now that they’re in the Playoffs, a single-elimination bracket with BO3 matches concludes the competition, making for exciting opportunities to bet on CSGO.

Ending with an epic BO5 Grand Final, there’s $850,000 up for grabs together with seeds for IEM Katowice 2024 and BLAST World Final 2023 (1st only).

At the time of writing, the ESL Pro League S18 Playoffs schedule for the first two stages of the single-elimination bracket is as follows:

Round of 16 – 26th September

Round of 12 – 27th September

In this particular preview, we’ll be offering some betting insights for a couple of the incoming matches using odds provided by GG.Bet (find out about this betting site in our GG.Bet review).

Round of 16 Predictions

Fnatic vs Monte

Fnatic were, by no means, a favourite in their respective group. However, they managed to confirm everyone’s predictions by finishing third under FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere. In the process, they played FaZe Clan rather closely, sending it to a final map.

Meanwhile, Monte did disappoint slightly, falling as expected to ENCE and BIG in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. However, their additional loss to MIBR wasn’t quite expected.

Although they managed to bounce back with clutch wins over Heroic and MIBR, the CSGO odds marginally favour Fnatic here.

MOUZ vs FURIA Esports

MOUZ may have lost their opening match in Group B against MIBR, but then they went on a tear in the Mid Bracket – qualifying without losing a single map in three matches.

FURIA’s path was rather similar, however in the Mid Bracket Semifinal, they lost to Astralis, having to then qualify by beating out GamerLegion.

Apart from being a higher seed, MOUZ seemingly faced tougher competition on their path to qualification.

Astralis vs Eternal Fire

Anyone who has been around CSGO for long enough will know that Astralis has quite the legacy, especially compared tot he likes of Eternal Fire. In this particular match-up, Astralis has done well enough to be considered the favourite here.

Moreover, Eternal Fire fought through what many in the community considered to be the least competitive of the four groups at ESL Pro League S18. However, they’ll probably take this match to the final map.
