Cloud9 vs Evil Geniuses

Predictions: Cloud9 to win

Odds: 1.13

When: September 21, 2022 – 13:30 CEST

Following the Group A, B and C matches, it’s time for the start of ESL Pro League Season 16 Main Stage Group D. The group’s matches will kick off with Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses taking on each other and will continue until Tuesday.

As the strongest team in the group, Cloud9 is not expected to make any mistakes in the opening match. C9 has been on the rise in the CS:GO scene after a long period of silence following the acquisition of the former Gambit roster, most recently winning IEM Dallas 2022. It’s been 10 weeks since their last official match and they have had a long period to prepare for this tournament.

Eternal Fire vs FURIA

Predictions: FURIA to win

When: September 21, 2022 – 16:00 CEST

Turkish representative Eternal Fire currently has a different roster than the one they qualified for the tournament. Having struggled without the IGL for a long time, the team got tired of the disadvantages of this and made two changes to the roster in recent months. Although they stumbled at first, they have recently managed to catch a streak again.

Eternal Fire will almost certainly give teams a hard time in the group. However, their opponents are a few levels above them in terms of power. FURIA is one of them. Even though the Brazilian team struggles against international opponents, they have everything they need to take down the Eternal.

Liquid vs Movistar Riders

CS:GO PredictionsLiquid to win

Odds: 1.39

When: September 21, 2022 – 19:30 CEST

One of the most surprising teams of the 2022 season, Movistar Riders will open a new challenge with Liquid. The North American team, which underwent a restructuring at the beginning of the season, has managed to recover its shaky progress with YEKINDAR joining the team in recent months. With this turnaround, the desired results have been achieved one after the other and Liquid has risen to 3rd place in the World Rankings.

On the other hand, Movistar Riders’ recent form hasn’t been great. Especially after losing to teams worse than them on paper, there has been some discussion about the roster. Considering the two factors, it is very likely that Liquid will start the groups with a win.

Cloud9 vs Eternal Fire

Predictions: Cloud9 to win

Odds: 1.19

When: September 21, 2022 – 12:30 CEST

Eternal Fire will play their toughest match in the group on February 22nd. We know that they always struggle against the big teams and come with special preparations for the matches. However, these preparations don’t always work in a best-of-three series.

For C9, who have been playing top-level games and winning for a long time, this match will not be too hard to beat. In order to take down their opponent, Eternal will have to bring their best game to the stage with the highest level of focus.
