EStars Introduces Interactive Esports Engagement Platform
EStars, a Dublin-based startup claiming to be Ireland’s destination for all things esports, has announced the launch of an interactive esports engagement platform. It should serve as a place where users can enhance their esports viewership.
Combining competitive gaming with social gaming
The company’s idea is to bring competitive gaming and a social platform together to enhance live events.
“EStars is a platform created with the esports fan in mind,” said EStars Chief Product and Revenue Officer Bart Berden in a statement. “We plan on providing an entirely new way for fans to play, compete, and win by offering exciting and engaging experiences, starting with prediction games that were designed with a gamer’s competitive spirit at their core. In addition, we look forward to providing a safe and secure environment while setting the industry standard for trust and integrity as a member of the Esports Integrity Coalition.”
The Irish company will give game developers an opportunity to directly connect and engage with fans through social competitions. The platform also includes features like monetization and branded content opportunities, in-game cash out systems, and a VIP program with custom integrations. What’s more, comprehensive data analytics and live contest tracking provide fans even more resources.
“We wanted to create a parallel esports experience that provides top game developers the opportunity to engage with the millions of people who watch their esports content in a very unique and active way,” added EStars President Jeff Liboon. “EStars has tremendous capability to increase developers’ market potential. We have the goal of being the largest and most effective esports engagement platform for both consumers and B2B content providers in the world.”
EStars Outlast to open up the platform
EStars Outlast, the company’s first product, will be a free-to-play competition where fans can test their knowledge of various esports events and predict the performance of their favorite teams. The goal of the competition is to make the most correct predictions spanning from one day to a full season of events. The winner receives virtual currency, real-world prizes, and other exclusive items.
Currently in beta, the competition is scheduled to launch soon on mobile and desktop. More information will be announced in the near future. To spice up the announcement, the company included a pre-registration promotion where users can win a share of $25,000 and 25,000 Stars (the platform’s virtual currency).
