As the outright tournament favourites, the Falcons seemed to be on a role until they hit a roadblock against Tundra Esports.
Since then, they bounced back with an easy win over 1w Team and seem to have regained form. This match-up against BetBoom Team should test whether Falcons are truly back and ready to win The International.

There have been two themes in competitive Dota 2 this season – Team Falcons winning everything and BetBoom always losing to Falcons at tournaments.
Specifically, BetBoom finished 2nd at both ESL One Birmingham and DreamLeague Season 22 and third at DreamLeague Season 23. At every single tournament, their final match was a loss to Falcons. After being denied so many times, BetBoom is in a perfect position to reap revenge after a season of hurt.
However, whatever narrative you can try to spin to favour BetBoom, Falcons swept them 2-0 as recently as the Group Stage last week.
So unless Falcons underperforms or BetBoom takes inspiration from Tundra, they shouldn’t win here.
Xtreme Gaming – Spirit Crusher
Xtreme Gaming has done it, sending WEU heavyweight Team Spirit home in the Lower Bracket Round 2 to stay alive at The International.
Ranked as the best Chinese team in our Dota 2 TI power rankings, Xtreme Gaming are only in this position after suffering a tough loss to Team Liquid in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals.
With Team Spirit out of the way, this match against Aurora should be a breeze for this Dota 2 TI bracket favourite.
Aurora is floating by
Despite being the best Southeast Asia has to offer, Aurora has floated by in this tournament according to Dota 2 TI betting sites.
While you could argue BetBoom has a chance in their match, Aurora has it up against them.
Scraping by in third place in Group D, Aurora narrowly beat Team Zero at the Seeding Decider. In the bracket they were dominated by Cloud9 and survived with a narrow win over HEROIC.
