Familiar Names Amongst The 34 Winners Of The 2019 SBC Awards
There were a record 34 different winners across the 41 different award categories this past weekend as the cream of the betting and gaming industries held their annual awards ceremony, the SBC Awards, at the Battersea Evolution centre in London in front of 700 guests.
Hosted by TV personality Kirsty Gallacher and Football Pundit and former AC Milan, Chelsea and PSV Eindhoven star Ruud Gullit, the evening was a huge success for a number of operators, suppliers and affiliates within the betting and gaming industry.
Esports Providers Success
It was also a big evening for companies that were focused on the esports betting industry with a number of top gongs being awarded to companies in this particular realm of betting.
Betway esports made it back to back victories in the coveted Esports Operator of the Year category. This is no small feat given the high quality of operators that were nominated in this category, which featured some of the biggest names in the betting industry including the likes of William Hill, Sky Bet and Pinnacle.
Pinnacle esports may have been a little disheartened to not claim the win in that category but the company did land their own prize when they came out on top of the equally hotly contested Esports Supplier of the Year category, when they defeated the likes if UltraPlay, EveryMatrix and BetConstruct to the title to name but a few.
There was also a very first win at the event for the Polish based STS Bet who were named the winner of the Omni-Channel Operator of the year for the very first time. The company, which has two offices in Poland and now a third in Malta, is now one of the biggest names in the European betting scene and is Poland’s largest bookmaking site.

Record Number of Entries
Speaking about the awards, the Managing Director of SBC Andrew McCarron commented:
“Congratulations to all the winners selected by out voters and judging panels. We had a record number of entries this year and the quality of them was hugely impressive, so the victors had to be truly exceptional to stand out from the other contenders.
“The operational excellence, innovation and commitment to driving up standards demonstrated by the award winners and shortlisted companies is a really positive sign for the future of the industry, and we’re excited to see what further developments they come up with in 2020.
“It was a good night made possible by the support of our sponsors and media partners. We can’t put n the events we do without their involvement, so I’d like to thank BetConstruct, Scientific Games and Trustly for being headline sponsors and all the other companies that believe in what we are trying to provide to the gambling industry.”
Other Winners
Other big winners on the night included bet365 Sport, who were named Sportsbook of the Year for the sixth year in succession, and the company also picked up the Football Sportsbook of the Year and Best Affiliate Programme awards too. However, they were pipped to the best Racing Sportsbook by William Hill.
