Fantasy Dota 2 – DPC Winter 2022 Tour

Published: Nov 25, 2021

With qualifiers for the 2022 season already underway, Valve has added some details for the upcoming season. The league begins next week with the first of three regional league tours.

While some top teams have already secured a spot in their respective regions, the remaining squads are about to start their battle for a place in the DPC. Valve also plans on keeping the community engaged with a new version of Fantasy play.

DPC Winter 2022 Tour

The first tour of the 2022 season of the Dota Pro Circuit is set to take place next week. It’s a bit early to look forward to the season, but it’s time to get excited for what’s to come.

The Winter Major Tour is the first of three events that leads up to the International 2022. With DPC points at stake, these tours are the most reliable path to securing an invitation to the most significant event in Dota 2 esports. With three Majors, three Regional leagues, and the last chance qualifier, the International 2022 is just around the corner.

With the launch of the DPC season, Valve is allowing players to play for the duration of each tour through Fantasy play. This keeps the community engaged by letting them participate in the spirit of global competition.

This version of Fantasy will feature a similar concept. Fans will be competing against each other in weekly scoring periods instead of just daily. Fantasy Dota 2 will also be set up with a roster period that can be used outside of specific seasons.

Fantasy Dota 2: How to Play

For each period, fans select two Core Player Cards, one Mid Player Card, and two Support Players Cards. Each player card is scored based on how well they perform during that period’s matches. Gold & Silver cards have stat bonuses that can earn more points. These cards typically have periods that last a single week.

Each player has been granted ten starter packs. Each additional player card pack can be earned daily by playing against other players. These packs will contain player cards from the region that you selected.

Each DPC region has its unique player cards and lineup. You may also participate in multiple leagues to earn points based on your best performance. Each period, you will achieve levels based on the Fantasy points that you accumulated. Rewards will be granted based on the overall Fantasy level.

The seasonal Fantasy scoring for Division I games is slightly different from the previous years. Every Division I match will be eligible for Fantasy play. The highest-scoring games for Teams during a best-of-three series are the ones that count.

The Chinese Division I will begin later than others; it will be delayed due to scheduling conflicts. Valve is working on ensuring that the same rewards are given regardless of when the Division is started. Fantasy Dota 2 is an excellent way for players to interact with the DPC 2022 season through the game. These Division matches will also provide Fantasy players with esports betting opportunities.
