Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s dream Major run on home soil continues, with FaZe now only one step away from lifting the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major trophy in a sold-out Royal Arena. In the previous playoff games, the international powerhouse showed incredible mental resilience, besting Spirit and Vitality – two teams they had a losing record against over the past few months that denied them several big event victories.

The key to FaZe’s success thus far has been their individual improvement all over the board. Not many people would have expected them to make it to the Major Grand Final, with Robin “ropz” Kool being their lowest rated player in the playoffs. If the Estonian activates in their match against NAVI, FaZe might ascend to a whole new level of CS2 performance that’s never been seen before.

While FaZe have stepped up to the challenge in their previous playoff games, the pressure in the Grand Final will be off the charts, especially when it comes to karrigan and David “frozen” Cernansky. The former has the chance to win his second Major trophy and this time it would be on home soil, in front of thousands of Danish fans. The latter is the only FaZe member without a Major title under their belt, so the nerves might become too much to handle for the young Slovakian.

Before the tournament began, not many people had NAVI even making the playoffs, but here we are. Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen has done an incredible job in leading his team to unlikely victories against teams with much stronger rosters on paper. Saying that, NAVI sports some strong individuals as well, namely Justinas “jL” Lekavicius and Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov, with the two being the squad’s main firepower outlet and source of impact.

Another reason for NAVI’s success in the Major playoffs is their recent experience in the same circumstances. At the BLAST.tv Paris Major, jL made it to the semi-finals, while Mihai “iM” Ivan was a contender for the MVP medal, but fell short in the Grand Final against Vitality. Moreover, Aleksib burst onto the scene in the Major, when his Finnish ENCE squad made it all the way to Grand Final at the IEM Katowice 2019 Major. Five years later, he’ll have the chance to take another pop at the biggest prize in Counter-Strike.

Because NAVI already surpassed most people’s and probably even their own expectations, they shouldn’t feel as much pressure in the Grand Final as their opposition. This could be the key to unlocking players like iM and Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy and getting them to play their A game on the stage.

FaZe vs NAVI Odds & Prediction

As for PGL Copenhagen betting, Thunderpick has FaZe as favorites to best NAVI and become the inaugural CS2 Major Champions in the Royal Arena. Most people would probably agree with that sentiment, given their pedigree and the teams they’ve beat in the playoffs to get to the Grand Final.

It will be very interesting to see the veto, as both teams’ share their usual permaban of Vertigo. However, FaZe like to float the map, so it’s fair to assume that they won’t be the ones to ban it out. This gives them another advantage, on top of the numerous other qualities they possess.
