When you think of major Dota 2 tournament organizers, your mind might immediately go to PGL or ESL FACEIT, but don’t count out FISSURE who have revealed they’re set to host 13 Dota 2 tournaments over the next two years.

Revealed by social post on Sep. 11, with additional details revealed later, FISSURE will reportedly hold “at least” 13 events between 2025 and 2026. According to posts on VK and Telegram, the Armenia-based tournament organizer plans to host Dota 2 tournaments “almost every month of the next two years.”

According to FISSURE, the online events will still be called FISSURE Universe, the same as their trio of events between 2023 and 2024, but the LAN events will be called FISSURE PLAYGROUND, keeping the branding which they’ve established with their CS2 series of tournaments.

FISSURE has rapidly risen to be one of the premier TOs for Dota 2 in the wake of the collapse of the Dota Pro Circuit. With no official valve sanctioned events for the majority of the year, independent tournaments have taken over, and Fissure has stepped into the breach, hosting or co-hosting at six Dota 2 tournaments in the past year, including the BetBoom Dacha series of events, FISSURE Universe episodes, and The Elite League Season 1.

It’s also likely FISSURE will continue to partner with BetBoom, who they co-hosted the mentioned BetBoom Dacha series of events with. BetBoom also sponsor Dota 2 team BB Team.

The announcement of 13 new tournaments for the schedule means the future of Dota 2 is looking bright, and definitely busy – especially when you consider how many other organizers have announced events.

FISSURE is a tournament operator founded in 2022 and headquartered in Yerevan, Armenia. They host tournaments for Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, and Mobile Legends Bang Bang. Their next event is BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, is set to start in October, with open qualifiers set to start soon.
