Heroic Partners with Thunderpick as Global Betting Sponsor for its Teams
Esports organization Heroic has named Thunderpick as their exclusive betting sponsor across multiple teams, as per a new release. News of the partnership was unveiled over the weekend of March 16, and encompasses the majority of Heroic’s esports teams.
The partnership, which officially kicked off this weekend, has seen the Thunderpick logo appear on Heroic’s jerseys. Thunderpick will support Heroic at the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 Copenhagen Major, and the ESL One Birmingham 2024, a Dota 2 event.
Thunderpick Esports will also be the jersey sponsor for Heroic during the upcoming Thunderpick World Championship 2024, where the team will compete for part of a $1 million (USD) prize pool. While the idea of a team being sponsored by the same company sponsoring the event as a whole could raise some eyebrows, this is nothing new in esports, with examples such as BetBoom sponsorship of a team and tournament or 1xBet’s sponsorship of EFG events springing to mind.
Beyond just a jersey sponsorship, Heroic fans can reportedly expect new and exclusive content from the partnership. The release by Thunderpick outlined new engagement opportunities with the team and promised more besides:

This multi-year, multi-team sponsorship is set to elevate Heroic and Thunderpick at a crucial time. Heroic is currently taking part in the PGL Major Copenhagen, and hopes to replicate its incredible success in 2023 in the new era of CS2. Beyond this, Heroic made its first moves into Dota 2 in January this year. ESL One Birmingham will be team’s first major LAN in the title. Both organizations’ metaphorical stock is rising in the world of esports, and this deal is emblematic of that.
