Immortals Sign a Crypto Deal With Bitstamp

So far, 2022 is quite a year for crypto, primarily due to the NFT craze that is still going on. Since crypto is so popular, it is no surprise that more and more esports organizations partner up with some of the biggest crypto platforms on the web. This time around, we will talk about Immortals and their new partners Bitstamp.

Who are the Immortals?

If you are following the League of Legends professional scene, you might be familiar with Immortals already, and if you are not, well, you will find more about them right now! This organization was established in 2016, and it is based in the United States. They had a lot of success in the earlier days of League of Legends, as back in 2017, they were one of the three teams to qualify for the 2017 World Championship. Besides LoL, they also competed in Apex Legends, Arena of Valor, Clash Royale, CS:GO, Dota 2, Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, SSB, and Vainglory.

Currently, their ranks are much smaller, and they compete only in LoL, LoL: Wild Rift, and Valorant. While their LoL performance was impressive in the past when it comes to the 2022 season, they are unfortunately not showing much promise in the LCS so far, which some of you might have benefited from through esports betting. However, that is not stopping them from getting sponsored and partnered up with crypto companies.

Besides Bitstamp, they partnered with Fetch.ai, an artificial intelligence, and machine learning-based blockchain platform. This platform helps users create a decentralized digital economy with a single ledger, and it is pretty helpful for those who want to dabble with crypto.

What is Bitstamp?

It is a cryptocurrency exchange platform based in Luxemburg. It is possible to exchange various fiat currencies for cryptocurrency on this platform like you would on any other crypto exchange platform. If you are not into crypto, this is probably not very exciting to you, but you should still be excited for the three-year partnership that they have with Immortals.

What is to come of this partnership?

Besides being the organization’s official cryptocurrency exchange platform, it will also help as a “founding partner.” The idea is to activate three series of activations to show their fans that there are benefits for them in the gaming and crypto worlds.

The first project is Team Bitstamp, a team of content creators who will create giveaways and streams to promote crypto. The second project is called “Immortals Invasion,” which is supposed to occur at the 2022 LoL World Championship in the form of in-person events, vlogs, and other content (which might be a bit awkward if Immortals don’t even qualify for the event).

The most exciting part of the partnership for the fans is the LCS Trigger Program, where viewers of LCS are going to be rewarded for tuning in to matches. So far, we do not know what the rewards will be, but if you are tuning in to watch LCS anyway, extra items on top of that are always welcome.
