The most anticipated moment for European League of Legends fans is just a few days away. On Friday evening, the LEC Spring 2020 season begins and the best 10 teams from the continent will face each other for the first time this year. G2 Esports are the overwhelming favorites to win the tournament, with Fnatic as their strongest challengers, followed at a distance by Origen and newly promoted MAD Lions.

Antepost Wagers on LEC Spring 2020 Season

Punters who don’t mind having their funds tied up for several months can consider the possibility of betting on the LEC Spring 2020 outright winners. G2 Esports are head and shoulders above competitors, with odds of 1/2 at Betway esports and pretty much all the important bookmakers. This is the team that has played the Worlds final and the reigning LEC champions, has a strong contenders this season.

Fnatic have posed serious troubles to the eventual winners, but they were each time defeated in the decisive matches. Betting on them to lift the trophy at the end of the season will result in odds of 13/20. MAD Lions make a surprising appearance among the favorites, with odds of 17/1, in spite of being a newly promoted team. In 2020, the least likely team to win the LEC Spring is SK Gaming at 50/1.

G2 Esports and Fnatic Set for Strong Start

G2 Esports have retained all their players, so they are justly favorites in the opening match against MAD Lions. Rivalry only offers odds of 1/4 on the reigning champions, while pricing an upset at 3/1. This is the most lopsided series of the day, but since it consists of a single match, a surprise can’t be ruled out.

Fnatic have a slightly more difficult mission against Origen, but the same bookmaker offers esports odds of 9/20 of them to win. The favorites have made certain changes to their lineup and count on their new jungler to fit in nicely. Origen also have new players and punters willing to take the leap of faith get odds of 17/10.

Slight Edge for Schalke, Rogue and Team Vitality

The LEC Spring 2020 opening day has three other games scheduled, each with narrow favorites and a high likelihood for upsets. Rogue play first against Misfits and they should be able to cause a team notorious for its poor season starts. Instead of a warm welcome, they should be greeted with a defeat, as reflected by the odds of 2/5 offered by ArcaneBet.

Schalke have also alternated great and terrible season starts and there’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding their opening match. They are favorites over newly promoted Excel eSports and punters can take advantage of the surprisingly high odds of 3/5. The most anticipated match of the day is the one between Team Vitality and SK Gaming, as both teams have made significant changes to their roasters. Team Vitality are favorites with odds of 11/20, while a bet on the underdogs will deliver odds of 13/10.
