LEC Spring Season Week #3 Top Picks
LEC competition continues this weekend with LEC betting League of Legends odds just being locked in for the upcoming week of action. G2 Esports vs. Fnatic will face off in another European classic as Rogue looks to continue their match as the only undefeated team in the league. Schalke 04 hope to continue their momentum after a 2-0 weekend that saw them upset G2.
This week features multiple League of Legends matches with valuable betting picks across the board with high-level LEC teams and low-level opposition looking to make upsets in the field of play.
Rogue vs. Schalke 04 – Day 1
Although Rogue look like the outright best team in Europe at the current moment, the recent hot week from Schalke 04 combined with this being the first game of the week for Rogue (and on red side no less) means this result could be a little less easier to predict than the lines would suggest.
Odoamne’s inclusion to the Rogue lineup has been one of the best transfers of the offseason as he slots into a new home alongside Inspired and Larssen perfectly. The Romanian international has always been a solid top laner but his new home at Rogue has been a positive merger for both parties, and neither have ever looked better.
However, Schalke 04 have a few wildcard players that can turn the deficit if Rogue aren’t solely focused on victory. BrokenBlade solo killed Wunder last week in their match against G2 Esports, showing his ability within lane against the apex of Europe. Gilius is also a very useful jungler in this matchup because his unorthodox pathing choices can complicate the game for Rogue in ways they haven’t been fully tested yet.
While there’s no doubt Rogue are the rightful favorites in this series, don’t be surprised if S04 finds a way to sneak another victory as the underdog in this matchup given last weeks results.
Pick: Schalke 04 continue the upset streak.

Misfits vs. Excel – Day 1
Misfits facing off against Excel Gaming will be another classic battle of who can snowball bot lane fastest. Kobbe and Vander have been instrumental in all of Misfits wins so far, but when they don’t get a chance to snowball, games can go really awry.
Because of that, XL have a good chance to turn the tide of results in this game against MSF given their team strengths. Patrik and Tore continue to be the focal point of an XL roster that is still finding their footing. With the synergy of Hirit, Razork and Vetheo still developing, XL have the possibility of finding moments towards victory if they are able to win the draft and secure stronger win conditions.
The odds are a lot more even between these teams and with good reason. Since Excel are the slight underdogs in this matchup it wouldn’t hurt to take a chance on Patrik carrying them to the promised land as Misfits still have a lot more issues to iron out as a team in the mid and late game.
Pick: Excel Gaming by a nose hair.
Odds: 1.97

Excel vs. SK Gaming – Day 2
Although XL show up on this list twice, they are not lock-ins for two victories given the strength of schedule they have. SK Gaming has been a volatile outfit this season, looking extremely dominant and potent in their wins, but out of sorts and amateurish in their losses.
Regardless of the up and down results, SK Gaming are a team with legitimate promise. TynX has shown a knack for being at the right place at the right time, and his impact this game will be integral to a SK win if it ends up happening.
Where XL have clear cut strengths, SK Gaming match them and in some instances exceed them if the proper conditions are met during draft. The real difference maker this game will come down the solo lanes of SK. Jenax and Blue have been hyped for a long time, and these are the kind of games SK must win in order for them to be taken seriously as an up-and-coming roster within the league.
Pick: SK Gaming win (and they’ll do it in style).
Odds: 2.37

G2 vs. Fnatic – Day 2
In our most anticipated matchup of the weekend, Rekkles faces his old team Fnatic as this will be the first time he’s opposing the fabled franchise since rejoining the team in 2015.
As G2 Esports suffered their first loss of the split, both Wunder and Jankos looked extremely human as they were bested by a proactive Schalke 04. In this encounter, G2 Esports needs to return towards winning solo lanes and massive map pressure on the side of Mikyx and Jankos.
Fnatic’s start to the season has been less than stellar, as they don a 2-3 record after dropping a game to MAD Lions at the close of Week 2. With a hopeful easy win under their books against Astralis on Friday, Fnatic should go into this encounter with G2 Esports on a positive note. Whether that will be enough to turn the deficit in their favor will be another question entirely.
G2 Esports are steep favorites in this encounter because Fnatic continues to falter in key areas. The lack of synergy between Nisqy and the rest of his team is palpable, which has lead to players like Selfmade having uncharacteristically bad games as they continue to make minor adjustments to their in-game flow of commands. While G2 are expected to win this encounter, don’t expect Fnatic to go down without a fight as Europe’s biggest fixture goes down this coming week.
Pick: G2 Esports, no upset here.
Odds: 1.50
