The European and North American sections begin on August 18, with the Oceania and Asian sections starting on the 25th August. The regional tournaments will conclude on the 30th August, apart from the North American section which finishes on the 29th.
Teams competing in the highly competitive European section include Astralis, Fnatic, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, mousesports, OG, Complexity Gaming, Heroic, Ninjas in Pyjamas, MAD Lions, MiBR, Team Heretics, and Sprout.
North America will see the likes of FURIA Esports, 100 Thieves, Team Liquid, Cloud9, Gen.G Esports, Evil Geniuses, Chaos Esports Club, and Triumph battle it out. The likes of Renegades, Invictus Gaming, ViCi Gaming, and Avant Gaming will compete in the smaller Asian and Oceania events.
The European division is the most lucrative tournament and features the most teams, all competing for a prize pool of $325,000 as well as up to 800 Pro Tour Circuit Points.
The action gets underway on the evening of the 18th in Europe with four of the Upper Bracket games in Groups A and B taking place.
