Luckbox Esports Adds Four Cryptocurrency Deposit Options

From January 10th, the Luckbox esports betting platform unrolled its latest service feature, the ability for customers to deposit into their account using any of four cryptocurrencies.

Luckbox already allows customers to pay for their esports betting using a number of standard payment options, but now they have added the ability to deposit to their account, as well as making withdrawals, using Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP) and Litecoin (LTC).

This change has been made possible thanks to Luckbox utilising the services of Cryptopay, one of the leading blockchain payment organisations online today.

Another Upgrade

This latest addition to the Luckbox site is another upgrade for customers and comes just a few weeks after Luckbox upgraded their software to allow esports statistics to be shown on Luckbox’s match pages, which also include live streams of the match in progress, a choice of languages for commentary and the likely rosters of the teams participating.

The success and popularity of the Luckbox platform within the esports betting industry means that the site now has customers based in over 100 territories across the globe and these customers can enjoy high-quality esports betting on a wide range of esports tournaments and games including League of Legends, CS:GO, Dota 2 and Overwatch.

Speaking about the decision to offer cryptocurrency, Quentin Martin, the Chief Operating Officer at Luckbox revealed:

“We’re seeing an increasing demand among users to use crypto across the whole iGaming industry and we’re delighted to be able to respond to the preference of our players by providing it as an option.”

“At Luckbox, we’re constantly striving to be at the forefront of innovation, trying new ideas and, of course, we want to give our players as much choice as possible. So, as well as those who want to use credit cards, debit cards, Neteller, Skrill and the other traditional payment methods we offer, we’re now able to cater for those who prefer to deposit in crypto.”

Forerunner to Luckbox’s LuckCash Roll Out

The decision to accept payment from the four different types of cryptocurrency from this month is seen as a Forerunner to the impending roll out of Luckbox’s own in-app gaming currency, the LuckCash (LCK).

This new way to bet is expected to be integrated onto the Luckbox platform at some point in the second quarter of 2020. This will allow the site to hone its skills dealing with cryptocurrency over the next few months, prior to the release of LuckCash.

It promises to be an interesting few months for Luckbox as they can now evaluate just how popular esports betting via cryptocurrency will be ahead of the launch of their own LuckCash token later in the year. This should allow the company to ensure that the launch of this new feature matches precisely the needs and wants of its customer base.

With cryptocurrency being so closely aligned with esports and gaming, the decision to offer cryptocurrency on Luckbox, and the introduction of the new LuckCash payment option, means punters now have more options than ever on how to bet with Luckbox and those options are only likely to increase in the future.
