MEL Premiership S3 – Predictions and Analysis
With the VCT 2022 season officially over in North America, all eyes are on third-party tournaments. Teams that didn’t make an appearance in the main tournaments want to take part in these events to have a good preparation process and be ready for 2023. Here is the schedule and predictions for MEL Premiership S3 event featuring teams such as TSM and Cloud9.
Cloud9 vs Nearest Airport
Predictions: Cloud9 to win
VALORANT Odds: 1.11
Betting Site: Odds provided by GG.Bet
When: August 23, 2022 – 22:00 CEST
The 2022 VALORANT season was full of disappointments for Cloud9. Despite being one of the best playing teams in the league at VCT 2022 North America Stage 1, they failed in the playoffs and missed their first Masters tournament. Then they had a poor performance in Stage 2, which was not expected from them. Finally, they failed to capitalize on their last chance at the Last Chance Qualifier and closed the VCT 2022 season without qualifying for any global tournaments.
C9 need to make up for back-to-back poor results and they have no better chance to do so than MEL Premiership S3. Nearest Airport have some familiar names on their roster and have made a name for themselves in the Tier 2 scene. However, C9 should win this match.
TSM vs TSM Academy
Types of bets : TSM to win
Odds: 1.27

When: August 23, 2022 – 22:00 CEST
A match like the famous spiderman meme awaits us. TSM’s main VALORANT roster will face off against their promising academy team. After dominating the early stages of VALORANT, VALORANT Champions Tour seasons have been a complete disaster for TSM. In addition to not qualifying for any international tournaments in 2 years, they have also fallen behind and lost battles within North America.
In mid-2022, TSM changed their roster and tried to prepare for the 2023 season by participating in third party tournaments. In doing so, I don’t think TSM will have too much difficulty against the academy team.
Oxygen Academy vs Zero MarksMen Black
Predictions: Zero MarksMen Black to win
VALORANT Odds: 2.26
Betting Site: Odds provided by GG.Bet
When: August 24, 2022 – 01:00 CEST
Founded in early 2022, Oxygen Academy participated in Tier 2-3 tournaments earlier in the year and managed to get desired results. They managed to take back-to-back third places and a few first places in regularly organized tournaments such as Knights Gauntlet 2022 Weekly and NSG Summer Championship. Recently, however, they too have been on the decline.
Zero MarksMen Black took on a completely different identity after June. Featuring players who have made a name for themselves in the North America Tier 1 scene such as bjor, boi, Critical and pho, the team has been playing together for a short time, but they are still very ambitious. They are one step ahead of their opponents both in terms of experience and individual talent.
City Boys vs Soniqs
Predictions: City Boys to win
VALORANT Odds: 1.57
Valorant Betting Site: Odds provided by GG.Bet
When: August 24, 2022 – 01:00 CEST
The name City Boys may not be familiar to you. But when I tell you that they are the former Akrew roster, you will remember who they are. Due to the partnership system that will be active in VCT 2023 season, Akrew announced in July that they were ceasing all operations. With this announcement, the team was left without an organization and started to take part in other tournaments under the name City Boys.
We haven’t seen much of Akrew in the VCT seasons. Although the squad constantly hit obstacles in the qualifiers, they actually managed to defeat many of the region’s leading teams. They are currently looking for a new organization and getting successful results in tournaments like this is very beneficial for them.
