Oddin receives strategic investment from Igelman and Sagansky
One of the leading companies in the world of AI-driven esports betting odds feed and risk management solutions, Oddin.gg, has announced that they have received an undisclosed investment from a strategic investor group led by Alex Igelman, Founder of Esports Capital Corp., and Jeff Sagansky, Media Tech Investor as part of a larger commitment to their company.
What is Oddin?
Oddin is a B2B esports technology solution. They operate their data-driven and AI-powered iFrame solution in partnership with official data from Bayes Esports to supply a variety of live betting opportunities.
That is a very wordy way of saying that they can deliver up to the second live coverage and engagement with esports. It is a business solution that the company claims will help engage bettors, drive volume, and improve profitability for betting operators.
Comments from Oddin
Vlastimil Venclik, CEO and co-founder, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome this group of highly experienced strategic investors to Oddin. We are truly confident that with the guidance and support of thought leaders such as Alex and Jeff, in conjunction with Oddin’s focused and dedicated team, we will continue to innovate and lead the way in the field of AI-driven esports betting odds feed and risk management solutions.”
Marek Suchar, Head of Partnerships and co-founder added:
“Our vision is to provide the most entertaining live esports betting experience. We cannot wish for better partners on this journey than Alex with his decades of esports & betting expertise and Jeff with his tremendous experience from media & entertainment industry. Both of them are bringing huge value to Oddin, but mainly to our partners that will benefit from both existing as well as new verticals that we are planning to launch in 2021.”
This is an important time for Oddin, they have recently signed multiple partnerships, including Sirplay, Arland, and BetX, that enables multiple bookmakers in various geographies to access its esports solution. According to their most recent press release, they also have other deals being currently closed that will be announced in the upcoming months.
Their Latin American focus
It looks like their focus is the Latin American market. Their most recent partnership was with Sirplay. It was a mutual partnership to bring their own esports betting solution to the Latin American market. This betting solution is not an exclusive one, and it will be offered to multiple bookmakers in the region.
Latin America is a rapidly expanding market for esports and esports betting but the current model for bookmakers is rooted firmly in the past. Many large sportsbooks have entered the region, but their focus remains on traditional sports. What the region lacks, and this partnership may provide, is an esports-focused solution for bettors.
The new investment from Alex Igelman and Jeff Sagansky along with their recent history of partnerships signal that Oddin is becoming serious about their expansion across the globe. This sort of expansion by a B2B esports company will help the esports betting industry in smaller regions that may not have the built-in support from traditional bookmakers grow beyond what would normally be possible.
