The gaming group Enlabs have announced that they are now offering esports betting on their most popular brand OPTIBET thanks to a new partnership deal signed with the highly-respected industry B2B iGaming supplier EveryMatrix.

According to a press release, OPTIBET are now aiming to offer “the industry’s most extensive esports coverage”, which is quite a claim considering the number of sites that are already offering a vast swathe of different esports betting markets today.

In addition to a wide range of markets, OPTIBET customers will also see a new front-end, which has been designed to fit in with esports gaming, as well as the ability to view live streams of events, all of which are powered by EveryMatrix’s OddsMatrix engine.

The OddsMatrix Esports Service offers coverage of over 55,000 different monthly esports events as well as 50,000 live events across 22 different esports titles. Streaming is available on the service for around 95% of all major live matches and part of the service also includes a wide range of specialised esports betting markets.

Having already established itself across the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania as well as in the Nordic region, OPTIBET are confident that their new agreement will allow them to further improve their aim to offer the full range of betting and casino gaming experiences for its customers all from the one site.

40x Growth of Esports

Another key factor in the decision-making process was likely the fact that during the Covid-19 pandemic, according to EveryMatrix’s May 2020 “State of Esports Betting Report”, the industry saw an incredible growth of 40x during the lockdown.

Quite simply, sports betting sites that did not offer esports betting in the past, cannot ignore these kinds of figures, so it made business sense for OPTIBET to take the plunge and agree on a deal with one of the top B2B iGaming suppliers in the industry.

“Modern Approach to Esports Betting”

Speaking about the agreement, Daniel Belozetsev the Head of Betting at OPTIBET commented;

“We always strive to provide our customers with the best and most relevant content. With EveryMatrix we are offering a modern approach to esports betting, getting access to the rapidly growing world of professional sports competitions using video games. We are confident that this addition will attract new customers who like video games and increase interest in existing customers by offering new betting opportunities.”

Similarly, the Group CCO of EveryMatrix, Stian Hornsletten sounded bullish about the deal, replying:

“I admire the work done at Enlabs in the past years and I think the present partnership is an important milestone for our esports services. Being creative in advancing new forms of entertainment is something that OPTIBET has very successfully done in the past years, and I am positive that esports betting will reinforce their market-leading position.”

With no end date of the pandemic in view and the fact that esports proved to be somewhat Covid-resistant to the downturn in the betting industry, the move to offer esports betting is a shrewd move by OPTIBET.
