Parimatch and Team Spirit extend their partnership
International betting technology company, Parimatch has announced that they are continuing their partnership with Team Spirit, one of the three most popular esports clubs in the CIS. This new agreement has settled their partnership for another full year.
As part of the renewed agreement between the two organisations, Parimatch will continue to be the title partner of Team Spirit. The Parimatch logo will be placed on the back, front, and sleeves of the Dota 2 and CS:GO team uniforms. The new terms of the agreement also allow Parimatch to use images of the esports athletes from Team Spirit in any new marketing communications from their company.
Parimatch continues to support the esports scene
Parimatch supplies betting tech to a number of different sports books around the globe. They began as a traditional sports betting tech provider but like many other operators in the betting industry they realised the importance of esports betting. Below are some of the major investments that Parimatch have made in the esports scene, it is clear that it is a priority for them.
They are the global betting partner of Fnatic and the title partner of Virtus.Pro. They are rapidly making a name for themselves in the esports scene. Not only have they partnered up with some of the top organisations in Europe, but they also have expanded beyond teams into tournaments and events. In 2019 they were the official partner to Ukraine’s biggest Counter-Strike competition Logitech G National Cybersports League (NCL) and the EPICENTER Counter Strike: Global Offensive tournament.
Not happy with simply sponsoring separate events, they also launched their own major DOTA 2 competition “Parimatch League”, the first time that a betting company has organized its own tournament. After the DOTA 2 event, they launched Parimatch League CS:GO, an online league for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams.
Comments from the organisations
Stepan Shulga, Head of Esports Parimatch:
“Team Spirit is a kind of mascot for us. Together with the club, we have been through a lot, including a complete change of Dota 2 rosters and constant but always successful CS:GO roster changes; the main thing we value is focusing on the result. For this team, sports achievements are more important than media success, and we respect this approach.”
Nikita Chukalin, CEO of Team Spirit:
“For the last two years, Parimatch has been a reliable partner for us, and I am sincerely glad that we managed to extend our cooperation for the year of 2021. We have significantly grown as a brand, and many of our endeavours would not have been possible without the support of the best bookmaker in the CIS. I am sure that this year, our cooperation will reach a new level and we will delight our audience with even more sports achievements and cool content. A big cheer for Team Spirit and Parimatch, doing it together in 2021!”
Parimatch and Team Spirit began their partnership back in 2019 and both organisations have moved from strength to strength during that time. Team Spirit has won many CS:GO and Dota 2 Esports tournaments—a recent major victory was gold at the DH Open, January 2021 in the CS:GO discipline with the first-place prize of $35,000. In 2021, Team Spirit became the first Russian esports club to cooperate with the sports brand Nike. Now that Parimatch has made esports, and betting on esports a priority for them, I expect to hear a lot from them in the future.
