Recently, competitive Dota 2 has enjoyed a flurry of exciting new tournament announcements, ranging from international to continental. In addition, the likes of Eden Esports has just announced the highly anticipated Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes series of Dota 2 events in collaboration with GamingMalta and Pinnacle Esports. Read on to learn everything you need to know below.

Pinnacle Cup Malta Vibes – A String of Events

The only thing better than an announcement for a new and exciting esports event is an announcement for a series of said esports events.

Inviting the very best Dota 2 teams in all of Europe and CIS, which are considered some of the strongest regions in all of the scene, a total of $200,000 is up for grabs alongside a curious bonus of 4 premium boot camp packages inclusive of a luxurious 5-star hotel experience.

Hosted by Eden Esports, one of the top esports events organizers in Malta, known for hosting the likes of European CS:GO competition such as the Champions Cup Finals in 2019, they are also fans of competitive Dota 2.

Moreover, the organizer has hosted the Malta Vibes Knockout Series in the past few years independently – the Pinnacle Cup Malta Vibes looks to refine the trialled formula thanks to the efforts of their new partner, Pinnacle.

As a tournament series, the Malta Vibes events have made the most of the fantastic venue that Malta offers, both for competitors and fans of competitive Dota 2, being one of the more unique Dota 2 tournaments. Unlike many other countries, Malta is lucky enough to enjoy 300 days of sunshine each year. This fact, punctuated by the beautiful coastline beaches and the comfort of being such a small nation makes for this special vibe.

All the action kicks off at the end of March 2023 – check out the video announcement below.

A Format for a $200,000 Prize

With regards to the format, a total of four tournaments will be taking place, each with $50,000 on the line for 40 participants.

Competing through multiple rounds of competition, the tournament format will be that of a single-elimination bracket. A single tournament lifeline for each team should allow for high-octane competition at every round, with every tournament lasting roughly 2 weeks.

Teams will be invited to either Round 1 or Round 3 as follows:

Every match after Round 1 brings with it a prize pool, ranging as follows:

Specifically, each single-elimination bracket will involve 39 best-of-three matches. Considering four tournaments, that’s over 150 matches for the community and competitors to enjoy. In the coming weeks, we’ll be awaiting announcements concerning the invited teams who’ll be competing.

How to Watch – Pinnacle Dota Twitch Channel

Every single one of these matches for all four tournaments will be broadcasted live to the entire Dota 2 community over on the Pinnacle Dota Twitch channel.

Together with the anticipation for each match and the huge number of matches, this event looks to be an awesome Dota 2 betting opportunity.
