PUBG New State: New Mobile Title Coming Soon

Since it first launched in 2017, PUBG has gone on to dominate and lead the battle royale space. At the time, it was a revolutionary title, one that the gaming world hadn’t really seen up until that point. It kicked off an overwhelmingly popular trend that today features the likes of Warzone, Apex, and Fortnite. Now, PUBG players are preparing to welcome an entirely new experience – PUBG New State.

It’s no secret that PUBG Mobile is the most popular variant of the battle royale title. As of March 2021, it was estimated that more than one billion copies of the game had been downloaded. It’s a hugely valuable platform with a player base numbering in the tens (or hundreds) of millions. Furthermore, PUBG Mobile boasts a diverse and vibrant esports community, which includes a global world championship.

It’s A Whole New World

An original pre-registration phase for the Android version of PUBG New State kicked off back in February 2021. However, the title is yet to fully launch, with a pre-registration phase for iOS commencing in August. The initial Android registration phase was the official reveal period for the title, and it has generated a massive following since.

PUBG New State features an entirely new environment, including new maps, modes, weapons, vehicles, and ways to play. Although it looks quite similar to the PUBG we all know and love, it is offering a brand new experience for both newcomers and veteran players alike. And, with the new platform, we’re likely to see a fresh and vibrant esports opportunity.

There are already millions of players signed up just on Android, as revealed by PUBG New State:

With that number set to grow, there’ll be a dominant community ready for the impending launch of PUBG New State. It’s a strong move for the developers, particularly as the game itself has been developed by the creators of the first PUBG title. Until now, the PUBG Mobile space has been under the control of Tencent, one of the biggest Chinese tech conglomerates in the world.

PUBG New State: Setting The Standard

PUBG will be the first battle royale platform or franchise to release another title in the series. Since it launched in 2017 (after PUBG), Fortnite has remained Fortnite. In 2020, Call of Duty: Warzone was released, but it remains the same today. Apex Legends was pushed out in 2019, and it hasn’t received another title since.

This expansion could potentially lead to other platforms releasing fresh content or entirely new iterations. Although, the typical model is to just expand what you already have – and it works well. However, the only blocker in place right now for PUBG New State is the release date. In recent weeks, the developer has teased a reveal, but not confirmed one:

The launch seems pretty far away.. or does it? Maybe it’s right around the corner. You might want to pre-register now.. just in case.

There are expectations for a 2021 launch, and as we’re over halfway through the year, it’s safe to assume that the release date will arrive soon. In the meantime, we’ll have to sit back, relax, and enjoy some PUBG betting while we wait.
