Saadhak leaves LOUD: What is next for the VCT Champion?
LOUD’s announcement that it is parting ways with Saadhak came as a shock to the community. Saadhak led LOUD to victory at VCT Champions 2022 in Istanbul and to its third-place finish at VCT Champions 2023 in Los Angeles.
Thanks to Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro’s impressive shot calling and LOUD’s impeccable execution they were quickly adored by fans, and become one of the powerhouse teams in the Americas region and a strong Valorant betting choice.
Saadhak seeks new opportunities
LOUD’s glory days seem to be over. The team got stomped in several major tournaments this year which led to LOUD missing out on VCT Champions 2024 in Seoul. This marks the first time LOUD was not able to play at the biggest VALORANT stage of the year since it took the crown in 2022. The departure of Erick “Aspas” Santos and Gabriel “qck” Lima played a key role in the lackluster performance of LOUD in the 2024 season. The team failed to secure a slot for VCT Champions 2024 after missing a qualifying spot in the VCT Americas Stage 2.
It looks like that contract was extended for another year as Saadhak continued playing for LOUD in the 2024 season of VCT. The team’s underperformance this year might have pushed LOUD to reconsider their roster for the next season.
Saadhak already expressed his interest in joining other organizations late last year. He told fans that his contract with LOUD is no longer in effect, but they are talking about a possible renewal. In a heartfelt message he thanked the Brazilian fans and barely hinted at what the future may hold.
“You know I’m already reaching a slightly advanced age so I’m seeing this as the beginning of the end of my career. I don’t know how many years I have left to play. I want to think about 4 or 5 years. I want to understand where I want to retire and I think you’ll have more news soon,” Saadhak told his fans after thanking LOUD for all the opportunities they conquered together.
LOUD also remained grateful for the achievements brought by Saadhak to the organization. Saadhak will remain a highly sought-after player for different organizations. He is a flexible player that flourishes in any role and his ability to speak in multiple languages is an eye-catcher for organizations outside the region.
Despite not being clear on his future, I fully expect Matias to find a spot in an organization by the time next season rolls around. As soon as we get the announcement, expect the Valorant odds for said team to decrease exponentially.
