Secretlab Partners With OGN For 100-Seat Battle Royale Studio
Gaming chair company Secretlab has partnered with South Korean video game-focused TV channel OGN to equip a Battle Royale studio with 100 gaming chairs. The OGN Super Arena, an esports-dedicated venue based in California, will play host for the first North American PUBG League, a project that was unveiled last October.
The first-ever Battle Royale studio
The partnership follows the official opening of the OGN venue, the first-ever studio dedicated to the battle royale genre. It seats up to 100 players, making it among the biggest esports studios out there and the largest one on the US West Coast.
“OGN has built its reputation on quality, and we need to ensure that the partners we align with share the same goals and standards,” said OGN Business Development Director Dennis Yi. “So we turned to Secretlab because they are the go-to brand for high quality and performance gaming products. After trying out their chairs ourselves, we rest assured that all our new studio participants will be seated and competing in full comfort for all our upcoming championships.”
With Phase One of the inaugural PUBG global pro season starting soon, getting the arena gaming-ready is an important to-do for a league with a $1 million prize pool.
“I’ve been a fan of OGN ever since the Starcraft II GSL back in 2011,” said Secretlab co-founder and CEO Alexander Ang. “The standards they’ve set for the esports industry are incredibly high, and we’re proud to be working alongside them.”
Secretlab, a company founded in 2014, has managed to establish itself as a premium chair company in the industry over the last couple of years. Partnerships with top esports organizations like Team Secret, Cloud9, Newbee, and Tempo Storm have put the brand on a global radar.
