SK Telecom and G2 Esports Gear up for the LoL Worlds 2019 Finals
The LoL Worlds 2019 group stage has concluded and the surviving eight teams have their sights locked on a place in the semifinals. The League of Legends Worlds schedule is quite exciting this weekend when the main favorites to win the trophy are scheduled to play against stingy opponents. SK Telecom are expected to have an easy mission against Splyce, after a dominant performance in the groups. The match between G2 Esports and Damwon Gaming looks like a coin flip, with the Europeans as narrow favourites.
Dominant SKT 1 Ready to Crush Splyce in the Quarterfinals
SKT 1 have advanced from the Group of Death without breaking a sweat and only lost one match when they were already 5-0. They were rewarded with a match against the theoretically weakest team of all the seven squads that have made it to the LoL Worlds 2019 quarterfinals. Punters shouldn’t expect decent odds on the South Koreans to prevail, as they currently stand at 1/100 and are likely to drop even further.
Because of the dominant display of skill and synergy, as well as the unmatched experience at the highest level, SK Telecom are expected to sweep their opponents. Splyce are no pushovers and because of their huge underdog status, they are likely to play without fear. This should result in a series of open matches and we strongly believe that the Europeans have a decent chance at winning at least one.
But outright bets on Splyce will produce LoL Worlds odds of 12/1 which are fully justified by the difference between the two teams. It is much wiser to bet on them to steal one match in this series, and an even better idea to take a chance with LoL World Championship live betting. Splyce often start games brilliantly, but their gameplay unravels later on, something that can be exploited by savvy punters.
G2 Esports and Damwon Gaming Fight for a Semifinals Berth
Arguably the most exciting match of the LoL Worlds 2019 quarterfinals is the one between G2 Esports and Damwon Gaming. The Europeans sit higher in the LoL Worlds power rankings and they were the main favorites to win the trophy, at the beginning of the tournament. Back-to-back defeats to Griffin have led to a surge in the odds on outright victory, as well as those offered on this quarterfinal.
G2 Esports are currently priced at 4/5, which are only slightly lower than the even odds offered by most bookmakers on Damwon Gaming to prevail. Compared to the Europeans who have won five games in a row before dropping consecutive matches, the South Koreans lost the opening match and prevailed in the other five. They are team in better form, but there was an entire week to reset and we believe that G2 Esports are back on track and capable of reaching the semifinals.
