The Chinese 2020 League of Legends Pro League Spring Season Start Today
The Chinese LPL is the first major League of Legends domestic championship to begin in 2020. This is the region that has produced the last two world champions and their teams are once again credited with a good chance at defending the trophy. 17 teams will compete for the eight places that open the road to the playoffs and the chance to play at the Mid-Season Invitational.
Reigning and Former World Champions Kickstart the LPL Season
FunPlus Phoenix silenced the critics in November when they won the LoL Worlds, so they are rightfully opening the LPL season. Their first match is against the 2018 worlds champions, so it won’t be easy for them to earn their first victory in 2020.
Invictus Gaming have an experienced starting formation, but they traditionally begin the season slowly. This explains why the esports odds offered by Rivalry are as high as 8/5, while the reigning champions barely get 9/20. There’s a good chance for this series to require three matches and players should also consider betting on the high number of kills.
What a way to start the 2020 Season:

Red Hot JD Gaming Try to Extend Dominance into the LPL
JD Gaming have been dominant in the last official matches played in 2019 and the try to extend their winning streak in 2020. The first match should be merely a formality against OMG, at least if we are to trust the LPL esports betting odds of 1/5. T
heir opponents have struggled last season and their starting formation hasn’t changed enough to expect a sudden revival. JD Gaming will also play midweek against Team WE and they are once again clear favorites to prevail, as reflected by the odds of 3/10.

Edward Gaming looked strong in the Demacia Cup, but so did Top Esports, so the direct match promises to be spectacular.
Both teams are expected to win the opening game with relative ease, and punters can only expect odds of 1/4 on them to defeat Victory Five and LNG Esports. They will lock horns in the final series of the week and Top Esports’ last season’s performance and better head to head record has them as favorites with odds of 9/20. An Edward Gaming surprise victory is priced at 17/10 by Buff.bet.
Schedule for week 1 of the #LPL English broadcast@invgaming vs @FPX_Esports to start off the decade right.

Royal Never Give Up and Bilibili Gaming Warm Up for LPL Marathon
Royal Never Give Up were clearly unhappy with last year’s performance and have higher expectations from the League of Legends Pro League Spring Season. They play a single series this week, against Bilibili Gaming, a stringy opponent that has caused them plenty of headaches in the past. Even so, Royal Never Give Up should emerge victorious and those who bet on their victory get odds of 9/20 at Unikrn.
