Tundra Esports TI13 Roster – Saksa Stand-In
The Tundra Esports TI13 roster has been beaten by travelling regulations, forcing 9Class out of the team and bringing in Saksa as a stand-in for The International 2024. Read on as we discuss this last-minute roster change.
Stand-in at TI – Two Years in a Row
It’s unfortunate for this to happen to any organization, let alone the same one for two years.
In 2023, ahead of TI13, Tundra Esports was one of The International betting favourites to win the entire tournament.
However, Saksa left the active roster a week before The International to take an extended break for mental health reasons. While the team tried, they finished with a disappointing 13-16th placement in The International standings.
Throughout the 2024 season, Tundra Esports has continued to suffer roster changes. Currently playing with two loaned players, Pure- from BetBoom and RAMZES666 from L1GA team, this team is an interesting The International team.
Ironically, with 9Class not being able to attend due to Visa issues, Saksa is returning to fill in the gap.
Inactive since he left the roster, can Saksa help Tundra Esports get far at The International as potential Dota 2 TI winners?
Tundra Esports TI13 – Betting Odds
Without a doubt, regardless of the change, Tundra Esports’ odds of winning the tournament have certainly decreased on the Dota 2 TI power rankings.
After a whole season of preparation and strategizing, bringing a “new” player to the team throws a wrench in all these plans. However, what Tundra has going for them is familiarity with Saksa. In addition, they should be more unpredictable for their enemies to plan for.
If Saksa can slip into this team and fill in for 9Class, this team could still compete. Let’s not forget that Saksa was part of the Tundra team that won TI12.
