The CS:GO tournament Blast Pro Series has welcomed a new official betting partner. Unibet, the online sports betting and casino games platform, will now act as the exclusive betting partner for the event.

Six top-tier teams fighting for $250,000

Taking place in Copenhagen, the tournament will see six of the world’s top CS:GO teams compete for a $250,000 prize pool. RFRSH, an esports media company also based in the Danish capitol, will host the event. The event was announced back in July as part of the RFRSH’s €7.2 million esports initiative.

The new Unibet partnership comes as the perfect opportunity for the online operator to enter esports. Unibet, a brand of the Kindred Group, serves over 16 million customers worldwide.

“We are excited about the BLAST Pro Series partnership because it is a new step for Kindred into the world of esports,” said Kindred Group COO Ebba Ljungerud. “Sponsoring the first in the series of events demonstrates our commitment to professional sports and the recent deal RFRSH signed with ESIC (Esports Integrity Coalition) supports our continued efforts to maintain integrity of the sport. We’re looking forward to kicking off the first event later this month.”

The event rundown

The Blast Pro Series will culminate in a Nov. 25 grand final. Given the attendance of powerhouses FaZe Clan and SK Gaming, the event aims to welcome over 10,000 esports fans. The tournament will take place at the Royal Arena, a multi-use indoor arena in Copenhagen.

Moreover, with both Astralis and North also competing, there shouldn’t be any lack of Danish fans.

“We have been looking for the right betting partner for the global tournament, and we are delighted to announce this partnership with Unibet,” said RFRSH Entertainment COO Jordi Roig. “The esports scene is growing fast, but it is also a very proud scene with high integrity … Our focus is to renew and expand while paying full respect to the existing scene.”
