One of the foremost and respected esports betting providers in the industry, Unikrn, has struck a deal with the global payments platform Nuvei that will allow it to expand its reach further around the globe. The new deal will see Unikrn able to offer transactions in 24 countries around the world.

To facilitate this, Unikrn will be using Nuvei’s hosted payment page, which is called Cashier. This will allow the esports betting site to offer over 450 alternative payment methods across 150 different currencies around the world.

This is not the first deal that Unikrn has struck with a payment platform, but it is one that will certainly facilitate a quicker expansion across the globe for the company, in keeping with the expanding popularity of esports and esports betting at present.

Earlier this year, Unikrn struck a deal with cryptocurrency platform BitPay, the world’s largest provider of blockchain payment services, to offer crypto payment options on its site.

Expansion into new territories

Unikrn Chief Rahul Sood has been clear about his wishes to see his company, a two-time winner of the coveted EGR Esports Operator of the Year award, expand into new territories around the globe and this new deal with Nuvei will certainly help them forge ahead with these plans.

Speaking about the deal with Nuvei, Mr Sood stated:

“Unikrn offers our global customer base access to an unrivalled spectrum of gaming experiences without interruption.”

“Nuvei was the best option for us to ensure we meet these expectations and offer a platform that will scale with our rapid growth. Cashier makes our customers payment journey safe and seamless. We are looking forward to working with Nuvei for many years to come.”

More Positive News

News of the partnership with Unikrn is yet more positive news for Nuvei who earlier in 2020 refreshed their corporate identity after the company completed an $880 million takeover of SafeCharge.

SafeCharge were a leading payment processing service that had strong links to the iGaming and esports sector.

With its new outlook, Nuvei’s managing director Yuval Ziv has explained more on how he hopes that this current deal is just one of a number of new partnerships that his business can forge in the burgeoning esports betting industry and beyond.

“Nuvei’s payment platform offers a complete toolkit for gaming operators looking to diversify and scale their offerings domestically and internationally, along with the global growth og their industry.”

“This new partnership with Unikrn is in line with our vision of an expanding ecosystem of partners that benefits operators and customers alike.”

Benefits to Customers

With Unikrn’s customer base continuing to expand as the popularity of esports and esports betting continues to grow, the different payment methods on offer through Nuvei’s Cashier system will make facilitating the many different payment options available around the globe much easier to maintain.

This in turn will be beneficial to customers who may want to use a particular payment method to fund their account.

It also shows that Unikrn’s continued popularity around the world with esports fans and gamers, continues to increase thanks to its dedicated esports betting service and numerous bespoke features such as UMode.
