Unikrn CEO is Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 Pacific North West Regional Finalist
Rahul Sood, the Chief Executive Officer of Unikrn, has been announced as one of the elite 24 finalists to have been nominated by a select panel of independent judges and former winners of the award for the exclusive Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Pacific North West Region.
The award, which is awarded by Ernst & Young LLP and is one of the most prestigious awards of its kind, has been running for 34 years and over that time it has honoured a number of different industry leaders and legends, who have been at the forefront of driving technical innovation, growth, and enjoyment to their respective industries over that time.
“Unstoppable Entrepreneurs”
Speaking about his nomination, Mr Sood, who was interviewed in depth recently by Esportsbets, commented:
“My entrepreneurial career started when I was 17, and I’ve been building new innovations with world-class teams like Unikrn ever since.”
“It is an honour to be recognized with these unstoppable entrepreneurs who are transforming our world.”
The news comes just a short time after one of Unikrn’s most ambitious projects, Unikrn Virtual esports, was awarded the highly coveted Innovation of the Year 2020 award by EGR.
Judgement Criteria
Simply achieving a place on the 24-person shortlist for the award is an achievement itself with each of the finalists rated across a number of different judgement criteria, which of course now has to also take into account how the individual has reacted to the somewhat unique challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic that is sweeping the globe.
Each of the finalists were judged to have shown clear aptitude in the following criteria:
- Overcoming adversity
- Financial performance
- Positive Impact on Society
- Commitment to ensuring a value-based company
- Innovation
- Management of talent
The award is extremely coveted as it is one of the most recognisable across a number of different industries. Since the first awards over 30 years ago, the program has awarded business leaders in over 60 countries and 145 different cities across the globe.
Furthermore, one of the key benefits in landing the top prize is that you will become a lifetime member of the Ernst & Young community allowing winners access to the network and the collective wisdom of many previous award winners that are a part of this exclusive group.
Previous winners include Ruby Receptionists’ Jill Nelson, Funko’s Brian Mariotti, and Accolade’s boss Raj Singh.
This year’s winners in the Pacific Northwest will be announced during a planned virtual awards gala, which is set to take place on October 6 2020 starting at 16:00 PDT.
