Valorant Patch 3.02 – Agent Bug Fixes and Clipping Changes
Valorant continues to improve in all aspects with every new patch. The devs are working hard to enhance both gameplay and the visuals in order to deliver the best possible experience to millions of players who enjoy the game.
The new Valorant 3.02 patch has dropped, and it brings some much-needed clipping changes, social updates, and adjustments to Sage, KAY/O, and Raze. This could be considered as a minor patch with no massive changes to the game, but knowing Valorant, the next patch will most likely be larger.
Agent Changes
This patch brings several bug changes to three aforementioned Agents. This time, the focus was mainly on fixing certain bugs related to Sage, KAY/O, and Raze.
The new Breeze map has been out for a while now, but it was only recently that Valorant introduced it into competitive matches in the Valorant Champions Tour. Since the map is relatively new, players are still discovering the best tactics and different spots that provide a significant advantage to their team.
Sage was one of the Agents that could create such an advantage on Breeze by using her Barrier Orb between the pyramids on breeze. By doing this, a sliver peek would be created, giving Sage and her allies an advantageous line of sight position. This has been fixed in the 3.02 patch and will no longer work this way.
KAY/O was also on the list of Agent bug fixes. Sometimes KAY/O’s textures would apply themselves to the weapons during his NULL/CMD when he’s re-stabilized. This has also been fixed.
Lastly, Raze’s Boombot will no longer be placed through certain walls. Raze was already an extremely aggressive Duelist even without this bug, so it’s great to see this issue addressed.
Social Updates
This time, the social updates come mostly in the form of various bug fixes.
The Valorant team has added a space between Match Rank and Leaderboard Ranking in the Hover Card UI, and only for Immortal + rankings.
The team-voice volume sliders resetting to 50 will now be a thing of the past. This has finally been fixed. The scrollbar in the social panel has also been fixed, and will now be displayed correctly.
There’s also several Hover Card UI fixes.
The VCT Masters Reykjavik Winner Title will no longer overlap with the Player Card. The Unranked icons will not display a pixelated border, and you can now clearly read the friends notes in your Hover Card UI without it being obscured by the blurred background.
Game System Updates
There’s only one update from this category, and that’s the issue of clipping. This has been addressed in patch 3.02. The way clipping was calculated has been changed, so players will now notice much less of this in their matches.
Although this was a small update, it did still fix plenty of bugs that were quite annoying. It’s great to see Riot Games working tirelessly on constantly improving Valorant and fixing even the small issues. The following update will most likely be much larger, and we could expect bigger changes to the game.
