The groups for the upcoming VCT Masters in Berlin have finally been revealed. More than 2.200 teams from all around the world have attempted to qualify for this Valorant esports tournament, but only 16 have managed to do so.

This is the third and final Masters event in Valorant Champions Tour and it will start on September 10th and last until September 19th. The prize pool is still a mystery, but we do know that whoever wins this event will qualify directly for the final event of the year – Valorant Champions 2021.

The Groups

This Valorant esports tournament will have a total of four groups, all of which will be playing in a double-elimination format with best-of-three matches.

There’s quite a few interesting matchups that you should keep an eye on. The first one that comes to mind is the opening match between Sentinels and G2 Esports in group D. This should be quite a spectacle for both NA and EU fans. Sentinels have been dominating the North American region since the very start and they’ve been itching for a proper challenge. G2, on the other hand, have had a rough start but have managed a remarkable comeback after some recent roster changes.

The other NA giant, 100 Thieves, found themselves in group C facing the Brazilian challengers Havan Liberty. Both EMEA squads, SuperMassive Blaze and Acend, are fighting each other in group A. Whoever wins in the opening match will have to contend with the Korean powerhouse Vision Strikers, assuming they win their match too. Group B seems pretty balanced with Keyd Stars fighting Team Envy and KRÜ Esports facing off against the Zeta Division.

Who will win?

Valorant Champions Tour has been going on for quite some time now, and during all three Challengers stages and two Masters events, we’ve seen several teams who’ve managed to maintain consistency and win almost every VCT esports tournament.

The prime candidate for the title is the squad from LA – Sentinels. They have won every single NA Challengers event and have also won the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Masters events, solidifying themselves as the number one team in the world.

The interesting thing is that they’ve already qualified for the VCT Champions 2021 through the NA Valorant Circuit Points, where they sit comfy at the number one spot with 675 points, which is 425 points above the 2nd place where Envy is at. If they win this event, it could mean that the Valorant Champions 2021 seed automatically swaps to the team in 2nd place. We’ll have to see.

Aside from Sentinels, there’s Vision Strikers. They’ve been dominating in the Korean scene but have unfortunately missed the Stage 2 Masters and NUTURN Gaming took that spot. They have a lot of potential, but we’ll see how they’ll fare in this event. Gambit Esports could also pose a threat here, as they’ve shown to be incredibly capable in the event leading up to this.

All in all, this event should be a real treat for any Valorant fan. Although Valorant betting odds seem to be pointed towards Sentinels, there’s no telling what’s going to happen in VCT Masters Berlin.
