Warcraft 3 pro Jae Wook “MichaeL” Joins Vision Strikers
The Korean esports team Vision Strikers has announced that Warcraft veteran esports pro Jae Wook “MichaeL” Noh, will be joining their organisation as part of the Warcraft 3 division.
Jae Wook “MichaeL” Noh
Jae Wook “MichaeL” Noh is a nearly 17 year veteran of the Warcraft (no, not WoW esports, it’s the RTS game) esports scene. He began his career way back in 2004 and quickly rose in the ranks to become one of the most popular and successful Warcraft 3 esports players in the world. He will now be competing with fellow Korean Warcraft player Jaeho “Moon” Jang under the same organisational umbrella.
He will certainly bring an interesting flavour to the new team. MichaeL is one of the sole professional Undead race Warcraft 3 players in South Korea. This unique position puts him at an advantage in any national tournaments that the organisation will attend, and it may have a positive effect on the national stage.
Vision Strikers have also confirmed that Jae Wook “MichaeL” Noh’s official activities as part of his new team will be announced on Vision Strikers’ social media as well as MichaeL’s personal Twitch streams. He has been dominating the Warcraft circuit for years, let’s see if he dominates with Vision Strikers.
Comment from Vision Strikers
In the tweet announcing their newest acquisition, Vision Strikers wrote:
“From the great evil “Lucifer” to the archangel “Michael”, please welcome our newest legendary #WarCraft3 player and content creator, Jae Wook “MichaeL” Noh to Vision Strikers!”
Vision Strikers
Vision Strikers is a relatively new organisation. They were formed in 2020 as a Valorant team by a group of former Counterstrike: Global Offensive pro players. Their initial team was called Team MVP and it was the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive offshoot of the MVP organisation. That division split off again to form their own Valorant focused team.
They dominated the national Valorant circuit in South Korea. They finished in first place in their first nine tournaments, only being toppled in the VCT 2021: Korea Stage 2 Challengers when they finished third.
In early 2021, they began recruitment for their Warcraft 3 division. Their first player was Jaeho “Moon” Jang. Jaeho “Moon” Jang is one of the giants of esports games. He was listed by The Daily Dot as one of the 10 greatest players in eSports history in August 2013 and was the highest-ranking Warcraft player on the list. He was the first player in esports history to make over $600,000 in winnings and in 2019 he was inducted into the Esports Hall of Fame. Along with MichaeL, Vision Strikers roster will be the Korean team to watch this year.
The future for the organisation
Vision Strikers have two of the biggest Korean Warcraft stars in their roster. Any esports betting site will have to adjust their odds, this team is set to be a dominant force in the scene. Moon may be the best player in Warcraft history, and MichaeL’s unique playstyle is sure to set other players on edge. I can’t wait to see what is next for the new Warcraft 3 division for Vision Strikers.
