WePlay Reveals the New Rocket League Invitational

WePlay Esports has been around since the early days of 2012. On top of the usual CS:GO, Dota 2, League of Legends, and World of Tanks esports tournaments, they’ve decided to enter into the Rocket League esports scene with a bang.
They have announced their brand new $100.000 tournament WePlay Rocket League Invitational. There will be two regions – North America and EMEA, and each region will have eight teams that will compete for $50.000. The tournament begins on September 16th and will last until September 19th.
That gives us three whole days of top-tier Rocket League action, so free up your schedule ahead of time!
WePlay is Expanding
For years, WePlay has been organising some of the most exciting esports tournaments across many of the most popular games such as Dota 2, CS:GO, and League of Legends. The esports organiser has enjoyed continued success and they decided to add yet another esports title to their list of games.
Rocket League is the perfect pick for this new WePlay Invitational tournament. First, the game is quite unique and has a very high skill ceiling, which explains its esports success over the past six years. And second, it brings an entirely different audience into the WePlay community, which will hopefully open up new avenues for both fans and WePlay organisers.
The new WePlay Rocket League Invitational will feature some of the best Rocket League teams such as The General NRG, Team Vitality, G2 Esports, and more. The 16 teams will face off in a series of best-of-seven matches in a double-elimination bracket, so we can anticipate a fierce battle.
WePlay is excited to take this next step, and the Lead Esports Manager at WePlay, Anton Tokarev, said the following:
“We’ve organised many memorable major events so far at WePlay Esports, and we finally have a chance to do another in Rocket League. It is a unique title with a special and passionate community behind it, and we cannot wait to show what we are capable of.”
We expect the WePlay Rocket League Invitational to be a huge success, and hope that WePlay will build on that success and introduce similar tournaments in the future.

Take a few days off and prepare some snacks, because the WePlay Rocket League Invitational begins in just one week. On September 16th, the tournament kicks off with the upper bracket quarterfinal matches and a few lower round 1 matches, after which the event will quickly move into the upper bracket semifinals.
There’s still no information in regards to the team matchups, but once that’s revealed, we can be certain that Rocket League betting is going to skyrocket.
