World Esports Summit: 8th Edition Announced, Heading to South Korea
The eighth edition of the World Esports Summit has been officially announced by the International Esports Federation (IESF), set to unfold in the vibrant city of Busan, South Korea.
Taking center stage at the BEXCO Convention Hall, this grand event is scheduled to run from Nov. 28-29.

The forthcoming WE Summit will be a congregation of key figures from the esports and sports industries, influential global brands, government representatives, and dedicated members from IESF’s 140 federations. Their mission? To enhance the collective understanding of the current esports landscape, dissect its challenges, and craft innovative solutions.
This dynamic event will feature engaging discussions and problem-solving sessions led by Esports experts. The roster of speakers is nothing short of impressive, including luminaries such as:

IESF Secretary General Boban Totovski, said: “We are very excited to host our annual World Esports Summit once again in South Korea.”
Mr Totovski described how, following last year’s incredibly successful edition, the upcoming summit aims to bring together members of the World Esports Family to further promote collaboration in the esports ecosystem.
He added: “We are honored to be joined by esteemed and experienced Esports experts such as IESF’s new Acting President HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Sultan Al Saud, and several other distinguished speakers from some of Esports’ top organizations.”
Founded in 2008 by nine member nations, the IESF stands as a unifying force in the global esports arena.
Comprising 140 Member Federations spanning six continents, the IESF orchestrates the harmonious collaboration of all Esports stakeholders with the aim of cultivating a sustainable and responsible gaming environment worldwide.

This year’s summit follows the resounding success of the World Esports Championship in Iași, Romania, where a staggering 111 countries from six continents participated. Notably, Saudi Arabia was unveiled as the host for the 2024 WE Championship, marking a significant milestone in the global esports landscape. With these achievements as inspiration, the IESF remains dedicated to its mission of expanding and innovating the world of esports on a global scale.
Making a Name at the ESI Hall of Fame Awards
The ESI Hall of Fame Awards will be held at the World Esports Summit, in collaboration with Headline Partner IESF.
Taking place on November 28 as part of the 8th WE Summit, this event will bring together key figures from esports, sports, global brands, government officials, and industry leaders.
Last year’s Summit saw a vibrant gathering of over 150 attendees and 40 speakers over three days, creating a dynamic platform for insightful discussions.
The ESI Hall of Fame aims to honor remarkable individuals worldwide who have made substantial contributions to the esports industry. Since its inaugural ceremony in 2018, the awards have traveled across the globe, from London to Los Angeles, and now, to the vibrant city of Busan.
Notably, the 2023 edition will mark the first time the ESI Hall of Fame will be hosted in the APAC region. This move aligns seamlessly with Esports Insider’s expansion to Singapore in 2022, providing an excellent opportunity to shine a spotlight on the exceptional talent and achievements in the Asian esports landscape.
