Taking place between 25-29th September, all teams have been seeded into the opening round of the double-elimination LoL Worlds bracket with BO3 matches. From here, only the top 4 advance to the Swiss Stage.
100 Thieves – NA Favourites
100 Thieves from the LCS looks to be one of the favoured teams to make it to the Swiss Stage.
After their bold roster change in July, bringing in Frank “Tomo” Lam, this team soared up to a strong 3rd-place finish at LCS Summer 2024.
Missing out on Worlds since 2022, this is the best opportunity 100 Thieves have had to make it to make it as a LoL Worlds Qualified team and are esports betting favourites.
MAD Lions – Consistent Worlds Team
Every year since 2020, MAD Lions has consistently competed at Worlds alongside the best League of Legends teams in the world.
Although struggling to break into the top 10, MAD Lions is the esports betting favourite at the Worlds Play-In. Finishing 2nd at the LEC Season Finals 2024 thanks to an epic victory over G2 Esports, MAD Lions is bringing the heat.
Talon Esports is Back Again
With two PCS seeds competing, can this overlooked region make an impact at the LoL Worlds schedule this year?
While Talon is consistently the best team in the region, making it to Worlds every year, Fukuoka is an interesting surprise.
Dominating the PCS Spring and Summer splits, Talon has dominated like any other year while also finishing 7-8th at the Mid-Season Invitational 2024. Meanwhile, Fukuoka has placed second at both splits.
Talon especially looks favoured to make it to the Swiss Stage.
Can GAM Esports Break Through?
As a region, Vietnam has impressed Riot Games, resulting in the awarding of further seeds for this region in the LoL Worlds power rankings.
All eyes are on GAM Esports and their rivals Vikings Esports. Since GAM Esports finished 6th at the MSI 2017 tournament, no team from Vietnam has ever surpassed this achievement.
At the Worlds Play-In, GAM Esports has every chance to start a historic run for VCS.
