Zai Leaves Team Secret and Joins Team Liquid
After The International 10 is over, the Dota 2 competitive scene enters a draft phase in which players and professional teams look for ways to strengthen themselves or seek new challenges.
This year we probably are having one of the best drafting phases in teams worldwide. From Dendi being kicked out of his organization B8 to Zai, leaving Team Secret after three years and joining Team Liquid. In this article, we explain why Zai leaves Team Secret and what’s next for Team Secret.
Zai Leaves Team Secret
Ludwig “Zai” Wåhlberg, whose role was the offlane for one of the best Dota 2 teams in the world, decided to leave Team Secret after three years with them. If we talk about Team Secret, we can probably mention that they were the best team many times. Unfortunately, they can’t win The International, which can be one of the reasons that made Zai leave Team Secret.
Zai had two stints with Team Secret; both had championships that we could remember. In his first stint, he won the ESL One Frankfurt 2015 after defeating his last team, Evil Geniuses, with a 3-1 score. Then he returned to Evil Geniuses and got third place in The International 6 with the organization that had previously won the The International. After that, Zai came to play his second and his best stint with Team Secret.
Zai got three first places in Majors in this second stint, which considered Team Secret the favorite to get the championship in The International 9, but they got eliminated by Team Liquid.
His last tournament with Team Secret was The International 10. They got third place, which was their best place for the team in the tournament ever. Here you can find more information about your favorite teams, players, and Dota 2 esports.
What’s Next for Team Secret
The next Dota Pro Circuit Season will start at the end of November, and teams worldwide need to close their roster. Team Secret does not announce Zai’s replacement yet, and there are not so many offlaners able to be chosen. We can encourage fans to think of Ramzees666 as a possible replacement for Zai.
His last team was Natus Vincere, and it would be a signing that excites more than one. Probably with the championship of Team Spirit, Russian fans would encourage their return to the competitive scene. The next DPC is an enigma today, but it would be the best esports tournaments we can have in the next few years, and the best teams as Team Secret must compete in their best moments.
For the moment, we can think that Team Secret is taking a break from all the tournaments to show a good performance in the next Regional League. We can only wait for the next Team Secret player, and we are sure that he can complement the team to get the Aegis at the end of the season.
