Deftly Domestic Career

Matthew “Deftly” Chen began his LoL career on affiNity. His team took part in the NA CS 2015 Spring Qualifier, however, it fell in the first round against Team Confound. Deftly also briefly played for Aware Gaming and Denial eSports, but he didn’t have any notable showings there. Afterward, he joined Eanix as their substitute in the 2016 NA CS Summer Split. He only started in two games against Apex Pride, and both of those ended in losses.

In 2017, Deftly joined eUnited. His team performed well in the NA CS Spring Split, going all the way to the Promotion Tournament. But back-to-back losses against Team Liquid and Team EnVyUs knocked them out of the competition. eUnited had a better showing in summer. Even though their Promotion Tournament started with a 0-3 loss to Team Liquid, they managed to bounce back with a confident victory against Gold Coin United. Still, the subsequent loss to Phoenix1 put an end to their run.

When eUnited failed to qualify for the NA LCS, Deftly joined Golden Guardians.

Deftly International Tournaments

Over the course of his career, Deftly didn’t play in any international tournaments.
