Lee “Kuzan” Seong-hyeok is a Korean mid laner in League of Legends. He’s currently playing for ROX Tigers in the LCK.
Kuzan Domestic Career
Kuzan started his LoL career as a mid lane substitute for Jin Air Green Wings. He joined the team at the beginning of 2015, but it wasn’t until 2015 SBENU Champions Summer that he played his first competitive series against Samsung Galaxy. His strong showing earned him more time in the spotlight. And once the previous mid laner—GMB—left the team, Kuzan took the starting position.
Kuzan took part in the 2015 LoL KeSPA Cup. Jin Air kicked off the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Incredible Miracle, but the Quarterfinals had them losing 0-2 to CJ Entus.
He cemented himself as a rock-solid mid laner in the 2016 LCK Spring Split. With his help, Jin Air secured a 10-8 record in the regular season and advanced to the playoffs. They showed a lot of promise with a 2-0 victory over Afreeca Freecs, but the subsequent 1-3 loss to SKT T1 knocked them out of the competition.
Jin Air tried to make their comeback in summer. Unfortunately, they struggled to stand up to the competition in the regular season, and their 7-11 record wasn’t enough to break into the playoffs.
Together with his teammates, Kuzan took part in the 2017 LCK Spring Split. However, Jin Air produced a measly 4-14 record—a result that forced them to play in the 2017 LCK Summer Promotion. There, Jin Air defeated Ever8 Winners and Kongdoo Monster to hold on to their LCK slot.
They entered the 2017 LCK Summer Split with renewed vigor. And while their showing wasn’t the greatest, they managed to secure an 8-10 record to avoid relegation. Jin Air then went to the 2017 LoL KeSPA Cup. At first, it seemed like they were about to make a splash at the tournament, but a 1-2 Quarterfinals loss to Longzhu Gaming put an end to their ambitions.
In the off-season, Kuzan left Jin Air and signed with ROX Tigers. On his new team, he shared playtime with Lava in the 2018 LCK Spring Split.
Kuzan International Tournaments
On Jin Air Green Wings, Kuzan attended his first international tournament, IEM Season 10 San Jose. Jin Air had the advantage of being seeded directly into the Semifinals. However, a quick 0-2 loss to CLG eliminated them from the competition.
